but but i'm way skinnier than thatcurrently a jobless bum i can queue up every episode of stargate and do a rampage 10 plus hours a day until the contest finishes and i absolutely agree that it's terribly unfair to those that don't get to play that much.
Key point... "salvage per hour during time played" does not mean "total salvage". But I am sure there is some minimum time frame that's required.

There is. You need to complete some Pursuits in order to be eligible, while doing so you'll be inefficient. The winner will be whoever can attain the highest sustainable rate of arkfall salvage, and then do that as continuously as possible, to offset that period of inefficiency. As time goes to infinity, (arkfall attainment during period of inefficiency + arkfall attainment during period of efficiency) / total time goes to the rate of arkfall attainment during the period of efficiency. As you spend more time during that period of efficiency, the greater your overall rate.
And since most people speculate you'll need a group of friends to maximize the actual efficiency rate, most likely the winner won't be some fat unemployed loner American, but some young unemployed sociable Euro who has friends willing to help him achieve success.
This isn't how they should be doing it. All this means is the biggest loser...i mean, winner gets a digital representation of their character into the show in some small way. What they should do is after the show ask trivia about the episode, then have players log into their accounts on Trion's site and answer them. If players answer the questions correctly and also meet some reasonable criteria in game they get entered in a drawing to get their character on the show.
I would also like to see the character an actual actor in the show and not a rendered one. I don't really see how this would be difficult. They should have these generic characters built into the script already, where all they have to do is insert the name of the winner.
Therefore, to win this contest, one must have... No Life!
As such the wanted poster will report your crimes of Necromancy.
