The value of DLC

I figure this might be a good question to ask sooooooo I'm asking it.

I realize that there's a Season Pass that you can purchase, but is anyone even willing to pay for the Season Pass, let alone any DLC.

With the game feeling like more of an over glorified beta that I paid 65$ to get in on and the future of it looking pretty bleak until any new patches are rolled out, I can't say that I feel comfortable paying for DLC. I mean, one would think that the Defiance Store could generate enough revenue to lead to free DLC.

Unless its some reeeeaaaally good DLC that has tons of content and extra gameplay rolled in with it I don't think I could pay 15-30$ for new content.

I'll gladly buy DLC if it features fully voiced content equal in quality to the main mission line. Theres no monthly fees so the burden is on them to make the content on the DLCs good enough to make people want to spend money on them.

Since they've already said the Season Pass will be available after the DLCs come out, there's really no compelling reason to get it early. Unless you really want the (bugged) bug hat.

Already own the season pass because i know I will continue to play this game. Not complaining really about content since I still have so much to do and cannot wait for the first of the paid DLC

Pretty much this. Season passes are such anti-consumer garbage. Expect me to invest without knowing exactly what I am getting? No way...

I bought the Season pass early because there was a short window for a $10 discount through Steam because of the number of preorders. I hope the DLCs will be great, but I guess I'm in the minority who actually really enjoys the game in spite of some bugginess.

Can't speak for anyone else, but when I figure the cost of dinners out, movies, etc... I have more than gotten my money's worth. Sure I'll be even happier when it's all running more smoothly, but if I were claiming to be unhappy it would be like stubbing my toe and preparing for my ensuing demise.

I'm actually ready for the DLC. But I won't pay for the paid portion of it until I see what it offers. And if they're releasing new playable races, I won't be inclined to purchase that either unless they give us a character remake option.
