I been trading, buying, selling since release of this game. I actually started off with just selling mods and worked my way up to a few orange weapons & now have over 100 Orange weapons and millions upon millions of script.
You get these overnight traders who come in and try to make a quick amount of script and that is why the ingame economy can not be regulated. Traders who get 3-5 Orange Items and 200, 000 Script and think they are just the hottest thing since the twinkie.....
Myself I only deal in pvp style weapons anymore. Weapons with great stats and synergy & bonus stats. Pvp worthy weapons.
I have tried to set a base price for just a standard orange of every type & when I say standard I mean just your basic orange no fancy bonus stats.
Pistols 45-50K
Smg 55-60k
Bmg 40-45k
Ar 75-80k
Frc saw 125-150k
sawed offs (excluding the courier and nano fragger) 35-40k
Combat Shotguns 55-60k
Pump Shotguns (excluding frc heavy scattergun) 50-60k
When dealing with shields and grenades its a wild business a shield is worth as much as the stats on it. And the same with grenades it all depends on the stats. I have sold 75 hp regen shields for upwards of 300k.
There will be no stable economy for new players until these overnight traders stop or we have an auction house to reach players who do not use the forums to buy items. With an auction house it would put the overnight traders out of action & at the same time give every player a fair shake to make some script without using the forums.
I've made my script I have my gear and I was very brutal in my tactics in doing so thus why I call myself "Defiance Most Hated"
At this point I just wanna see the market stable. But honestly when all these mods are introduced into the game it will be the wild west all over again. Then after a few weeks the prices on them will become stable.
For people buying average weapons use the price guide I've bought and sold enough to know what I'm talking about. If buying an elite weapon with perfect stats the price is in the eyes of the one who will be using the weapon.
