Here's an exercise that might put it in perspective and provide you with piece of mind.

Look at how long it took for the PS3 to get a patch. Then, look at the beta. There was a beta weekend, rife with bugs, 1 week before release. Defiance had to be finished on 3 different systems, pressed, packaged, and shipped. We are, by and large, likely playing code that was done in Feb/Mar. If we're lucky. Open Beta was actually just a public relations exercise.

So? Sounds like they should not have released the game at the point it was in then? Far as I am concerned the game should still be in closed beta. Release means it is near flawless with almost no bugs. We all payed money to play and if we can't play and we should get money back.

Side not pc version is just a horrible port of console version.

For a new MMO? A lot of crashes and downtime is basically the way it goes. I've seen much much worse, Anarchy Online was unplayable when it launched, compared to that, Defiance looks flawless. Yeah, it would be nice if MMOs launched perfectly, but they just don't. After playing dozens of MMOs at launch or shortly after launch, it just doesn't bother me anymore, I have a lot of other games to play too. Even well established MMOs have server problems sometimes.

I love how the answer is always "Deal with it". If any of you people bought anything else that didn't work, you'd return it. But because it's an MMO, we just have to "Deal with it" until the issues get resolved. No wonder the game industry is going down the toilet, it's fanbase is a bunch of mongoloid idiot manchildren.

People like you are why games ship so half assed these days. They used to be tested, debugged, and polished. Now that everyone knows consumers will accept betas, well, we get betas...
