I agree that this salvage/hour method is flawed! i think getting a high salvage/hour number then logging out for 2 weeks is incredibly stupid! I dont believe anyone bought this game so they could end up not playing it! I personally like to just drive around sometimes and just enjoy the game environment or do time trials or just random *** things at times! So i should suffer from enjoying the world that Trion created? I think a fair method to reward "skill" would be to create several new challenges like hotshots or rampages and time trials just for the contest that everyone who registered could access! Give everyone 5 attempts at each challenge and collect their highest score from each event! The player with the highest score would win and i believe thats the closest way to reward real skill!
Pursuits + lottery is the only fair method. Anything else is subject to hackers.
lol letting ppl do challenges is even worse have u seen the scores that hackers get in those!!!!
there is no way to do a contest that is 100% fair in this game short of putting everyones name in a hat and picking one..Too many hackers and other ppl that exploit the game for there to be any decently fair contest involving in game content..
It's not like you need to hack to win it either, there's just the fact that option lying about and likely to get banned for using it.

can discuss how they should do it all day long but right now think the only thing that can be agreed upon is that this contest is stupid till trion gets its **** together and gets rid of the hackers and can come up with some fair contest rules.
They've only been planning this for 5 years, be patient. I'm sure they will figure it out sooner or later (maybe never).
Dealing with hackers in a contest is easy though. Before theyannounce the winner, they go over the activity log of the guy who won with a fine tooth comb. If it's legit, they won. If it's obvious BS they ban that guy and move down to the next person on the list.
thats fine idea but the question is will they do that???? they can do the same thing with all the challenges, ban the top 3 ppl cause they have impossible to obtain scores, but they dont.......
