Honestly, because the high scores in the challenges don't really matter at the moment and they'd have to waste a lot of time putting out small fires when they have bigger issues to work on.

With the contest though, there is a pretty major prize at stake, so it would be incredibly foolish not to check.

I'd rather they use a lottery and spend that time fixing bugs.

indeed big prize here and most likely it will be won by a person that doesnt deserve it.. I can be happy with losing to a better player, im good but i know there are ppl better then me if they win good for them if i win good for me, i cant stand the fact that a prize this big is at stake and chances are real legit players dont have much of a chance at winning it...

They need to either cancel the contest or change its prize and wait till this game is on its feet, relatively hacker free, bug free, glitch and exploit free, and have good solid rules that even the most casual player has some what of a chance at winning..

This is not the time to have a prize of this magnitude.

It would be incredibly bad form for them to call takesies-backsies on a contest that is already in progress that people have started working on already though.

Better to just let it ride and come up with a less stupid contest in the future.

it would but how many more times in the future will ppl get to have their character on TV??
Contest its self may be stupid but prize is not, i know im not the only person that would freak out if they learned their character was going to be in the show.

It would be incredibly bad if ppl learned the person that won cheated or exploited the game as well..

But you do remember how limited the character creation was right? In fact the only way you'd know if it was your toon is if they call you out by name in the TV show. lol

I'd like it if they came up with contests that many different types of players could participate in. The current one is an example of a contest that demands 100% of your playtime. Not everyone is going to want to do that.

A contest involving setting a high score on a rampage/hot shot/time trial, while currently susceptible to hackers, would not require 100% of anyone's playtime, so it'd be open to a new set of players.

A random draw is available to everyone, but obviously does nothing to account for skill.

I'm not pushing for a particular contest, but it would be disappointing if every contest catered to the same players.

Umm, by making it salvage per hour, you actualy discourage long play times, because you are trying to maximize salvage, so you, ideally find a good spot, grind it to get your number up, then log off and stay logged off, or play another character because any time on that isn't spent grinding is going to hurt your average.

This is a terrible contest criteria, it promotes grinding and actually discourages playing the game, doing missions or pursuits, because travel time and such are going to negatively impact your salvage rate. The longer you play, the harder it is to maintain a solid per hour production.

Awful awful awful idea...whoever thought that up in the contest meeting, should be forced to wear a dunce cap and sit in the corner being molested by naked molerats.
