I usually make a secondary female character in a game to see how the game is different for playing as a female character as opposed to playing as a male character. Like are there different dialogs, expressions, etc. I made a female Irathient in Defiance named Joanna Darc(named after Joanna Dark in Perfect Dark and PD Zero, but someone already took the exact name so I just made a variation on it). I also have made a FemShep in Mass Effect 1 & 2(have yet to do a playthrough in ME3 as my FemShep)named Joanna Shepard(also named after Joanna Dark). Plus I love Jennifer Hale's voice acting. And in Saints Row 2 and The Third I made a female character just for shtakos and giggles.

For rp reasons I made a male and female character.
Laura Lowlife isn't me. It's a character in a game. There's the difference. But some people just... I don't know, let's call it deep immersion into a game world or just a plain old psychosis. Whatever suits you the best!

Well, a bonus to having a girl character is that when i used to play AION i had both a male and female character and the female character got more players to party with and tons of free items from people. The male i had to solo more things. I guess its just the psychology of the players![]()

I play on female characters in most games that have the option between the 2 genders due to my preference to look at a female. And the outfits and gear are usually better looking as well.
It has never been said better than by Joss Whedon on his "Equality Now"-speech. It is true for writing and gaming as well.
