Guys That Play On Girl Characters

I have noticed alot of girl characters in Defiance are guys. I understand playing on a girl character. It could be that the girl characters look cool, or maybe you would rather stare at a girl character's butt while you play. I was wondering what are people's opinions on this or if you are a guy and play on a girl character, what are your reasons? I really don't care nor does it bother me if someone plays on a different gender character. It's just a game, so it really does not matter. I am merely curious.

It is called culling. Almost all games with very large PvE or PvP zergs have this in one form or another.
Placeholders are a rather good idea to work around it, although Trion could account for PC systems that can handle more data than a console.
GW2 had some major WvW issues with culling in the past for example. Iirc WAR as well.

I definitely fall into the "dude that plays female characters because they're easier on the eyes". Honestly I had planned on two characters (One female human, one male Irathient) until I realized how utterly pointless it was to have a second character.

I understand how you feel..I have a lot of "girls" join my clan then..when I mic up there dudes...so disappointing..I get the whole looking at the butt thing because baby do got back..but yea..I'm a black American, so naturally I want to play as a black dude...I'm being fooled too. :-( and don't like it. PvP has limited variety of special outfits and that prevents culling. And only one vehicle, which I suppose helps as well.

I chose female cause my dog Ellie was laying on my lap. The male char just looks too blah.

I'm 100% straight and i play as i female character. I guess when people play as their gender they feel more immersed in the world, but for a breath of fresh air i played an irath girl for the better customization and looks. I see a lot of *******es humping my character for their own amusement, those are the worse. Also for the hours that i play i refuse to be staring at a man's *** the entire time.
