Ok can some-one explain what's so fun about standing around firing 'lobbers, pounders and air bursts' while I'm trying to shop? Seriously.... it happened at every fast-travel 'stop and shop' yesterday.

I noticed that as well that at certain vendors there is always a few people doing so, like wtf
Also noticed most locations that there are people just standing near the entrance as if they are on guard.

They're probably just testing their weapons before they decide whether to keep or sell them. Some of the different brands and types of weapons will work in weird ways that are not immediately obvious from the stats and descriptions.

I saw a group line up and start honking their horns non-stop. I think it was in response to the kid BOOM BOOMing everybody.
It annoys people, hence why it is done.

VROOM VROOM in circles tooting your horn and boosting as much as possible while people are shopping.
I know I do it to see how a certain weapon differs from others I have. The Tooltips suck at giving good discripitions on the various weapons.
But I'm also not firing them non-stop either, i fire a couple rounds to get a feel for the weapon and either keep it or vendor it. I'm also not firing it at the vendor, I usually aim at a close building to see the shot pattern or burst spray.
