Suno Tower in SF is the best place for Sniper training.

I leveled my bolt action and semi auto snipers to ten quite easily with the infinite spawning dark matters that are distracted by immortal turrets.

I got BMG from level one to ten in just two days, running co-op and using it as my primary. Mostly focus on dishing out damage, and use overcharge on cool down.

Not really. Snipers are freakin' easy to level.

Just do humaniod mobs and go for heashots all the time, you level up on sniper rifles so fast.

1 cardinal rule - use semi-auto for raiders, and bolt for 99ers and Dark Matters. This is because you can 1 shoot them with their respective mob type.

Snipers are absolutely fast when it comes to taking down Minigunners, Grenadiers, Hulkers, Blacklungs, etc. Even faster than using LMG.

I was referring to 5k bolt action kills actually. Even with the challenge it's still tedius as all hell.

Era was talking about the kill 5000 enemies with bolt actions, not leveling the weapon skill. Which I agree as well, I have 16/17 combat achievements, and my last one is 4000/5000 bolt action sniper kills, with my bolt action rifles at weapon skill 20.

True getting the levels isn't that bad, it is getting the 5000 kills with the bolt actions that is a pain.

I actually got my BMGs to level 10 for the pursuit relatively quickly using the San Quentin Hulker method. Grab a few BMGs, add a damage plus barrel and a damage magazine boost increase mod, then head out. Blast away, when he gets into final rage mode ("He's not gonna stop!") let him kill you, extract, repeat. I maxed out a BMG about every 30-35 minutes. I lost count but overall it probably took me between 16 and 18 BMG's to hit level 10.

But it's worth it, the armor is awesome!

(Currently grinding Sniper 3 as well as some of you. Bolinas Sniper Challenge over and over and over... Best I have for that one.)

main? no. but with the lag inherent with an MMO environment, i always have one as secondary, simply in case i run out of ammo and fail to get something to drop an ammo bag. they aren't the best way to solo some of the san fran main quests, but it's unlimited ammo, very fast recharge, and arcs to secondary targets, which is great when you've got 0 ammo and 1-3 mobs left in the quest area >.<

grinding assault rifles while i quest... can't find a good one so stuck with low damage greens that take a full clip (or more!) to drop a non-elite dark matter... thus my ammo problems
