Shields and loadouts

Hiya

I was wondering if anyone knew this.
When having a shield in one loadout you're not able to equip it in any other loadout? Is it supposed to be like that or is it some kind of bug?
I finally got my first purple shield, and wanted to use it cause it was better than what I was using, and I have no problem equipping it on the first loadout, but changing the other loadouts just reverts back to the shield it was already using without any kind of message of why it does that.

You can equip the same shield throughout all loadouts. I know the menu sometimes bugs and you have to exit the menu for a few seconds - go back in - select the shield and click equip at the bottom.

In the loadout screen, switch to the loadout you want to add it into, then exit the loadout screen completely. Now open back up the loadout screen and stay in the loadout you want to add the shield into. Now change the shield in it.
See if this works.

For some reason if the item was equipped in the previous loadout you can just switch to one of the others and add it. For some reason it seems you have to switch to another loadout that doesn't have the item equipped then exit the loadout screen, then reload the screen and go into the loadout. Pretty annoying. One of the irritating things that make you wonder........why haven't they fixed this......

you need to select the loadout. Back out of the menu. Then go back into it to change items and skills.

Its silly and you should be able to bounce around and make changes where ever. But as of now, its switch, back out, back in, make change.

What I find works is to first re-equip the item you already have equipped. Then you can swap it to something else.

Yep it's very buggy, I just gave up trying y'day. I have 3 loadout slots unlock & it usual lets me equip in 2/3, until they patch it I'm just going to keep 2x the shied/s I like. Good job I bought extra inventory space.

Only problem I havbing with loadout is my last skill just remove it self alot of the time.

Thanks guys, that did help a lot.
When I selected the loadout, backed out of the menus, and went in again so the loadout is the first shown it works perfectly.

Had a feeling it was a bug.

This works: swap out one of the weapons on the balky loadout screen with any other weapon in your inventory and then change your shield.

Then swap the weapon you want back in.

Note that the shield problem sometimes occurs with grenades also.

Trion acknowledged the bug with a patch that didn't fix the bug, so they know it exists. I figure they'll get it fixed about the time I get thoroughly frustrated with the bugs and broken mechanics and bored with the repetitive gameplay.
