For the most part you are right. However their Home Turf DLC did let everyone get access to housing.

What Trion has stated they are doing with DLC, and some minor mission portions of it being free to everyone, is not the same.
If Trion releases "DLC" that includes pay to access vendors for the missing synergy mods then it's just shady business. If this company wants any more of my money, then the missing parts of the game need to be free.

alot of us in the UK got the Ultimate Edition for £49 from amazon with the discount applied from delay and loss of 30 day xbox live sub card.. £9 for all the UE stuff and DLC was really worth it. even if it turns out to go sour.. i wont cry over £9 lost.

If you don't buy the first pack and just wait until you know what is included, the value is exactly the same...

In what weird universe are 5 DLCS, by default, worth $50?

There are going to be a lot of anxious people wondering what they actually paid for with the season pass.

I don't think you can reasonably expect a refund on the season pass. Part of the deal with season passes is that you get a discount for taking a gamble and buying everything in advance. It's why the package is cheaper in bulk than when bought individually; you don't exactly know what you're going to get and there's a chance it might not all be something you'd be interested in.

On top of that, the season pass is still available. There was no cut off date placed on it. So, while you had the option of picking it up months ago, you could have waited until today or even a month from now to make the same (but more informed) decision. The decision not to wait until you had a better idea of how the game would be going.. that's really on you.

Don't get me wrong, I'm in the same boat as you. But, I made the decision to purchase the season pass being completely aware of this and accepting the possible consequences. None of us has an excuse.

Well, true . . . if we want to call the Dive a house.

That thing is more like a closet in my full lair.

True. For all we know the DLC could be new areas, and if you want to do any missions, pursuits, hot shots, time trials, rampages, and contracts in there, you need the DLC, otherwise everyone can go to the new area, do emergencies and Arkfalls and that is it.

WIth giving everyone access to the area they do not separate the gaming community, friends can still play with each other in the new area, even though one or more of them do not have the DLC, they just won't be able to do the stuff I listed above and get credit for it, though they can help out their friends who do.

Just a guess on my part, and makes the most sense to me.

Their retail value is $10 each so all together $50. So by default it will cost $50 unless there is a sale.
