Actually you could, if it were possible to get there, kill the "final" boss with 1 EGO and your starting weapons.

I mean I went and killed Nim at around 300 EGO, maybe a little less. The game is built to ensure someone who plays for 100 hours is no more powerful then someone who just bought the game that same morning.

No, I said I didn't know if it was a good deal for me because I am also interested in another game that just came out. I am playing both for now. But I see no reason to invest too heavily in this one when I am on the fence for both. If I was only playing Defiance I would have already have bought it.
Well I say go for the other game since it's out on the market right and then look back for the sp when they actually announce the details of the first pack at least. I am holding on to my 3200 ms points because of some very disturbing talks about people getting all the missions for free so what does that leave SP people that is actually important. A new alien race doesn't interest me to be honest since making alts have no purpose right now so unless they change that heavily I won't care then either, lol.

Seriously? I had to friggin explain basic retail/marketing terms?
This could be an American/British english thing? I think Americans equate value with price and Brits equate value with worth.

For me personally if the price of something is $10 and the perceived worth to me is >= $10, I see it as valuable.

Same here (though since I'm PC it's cash instead of ms points). Playing a new race doesn't interest me. Weapons will only interest me unless it's similar to the Frontier LMG. Vehicles.....well that depends on what ones (and I wouldn't expect too many). More missions/pursuits COULD be interesting depending on what they are. But I don't see myself spending a lot on only those few. And given the state of the game......I don't see myself getting any. I'm starting to get the feeling this game will die out in a few months anyway.

It's no American thing. I'm there and I in no way whatsoever think that way. Price is what it's worth, not what it costs.

In the US the meaning of value is based on the context. Value in us can be either price or worth, depending on context.

Hopefully it doesn't since the game is really fun to play. Normally in any game I LOVE having a new race or character to try out but right now having alts is so damn pointless. There has to be a ton of good weapons, not just 5 new weapons that will be sold asap, and definitely hoping for exclusive important stuff like story missions, dungeons, and other things that free people clearly should not have if I am paying 40 dollars extra on the game. Hopefully the game doesn't die out but that all depends on trion on what they do and hopefully fix things instead of having patches to keep lowering stuff for garbage casuals.

Pretty much. Hoping soon we actually see some real action from them to actually FIX things.
They're pretty much losing credibility at this current rate. I doubt I'll ever buy another Trion release on my end unless they can show something really positive.
There's a saying that fits this "When a name is stained, it's stained forever".
For people who don't understand that....it just means that people tend to remember mistakes.

Heh, I don't think its all that bad. The game itself is really nice. I think they just need to polish it quite a bit. But my opinion may be biased a bit as I bought the game with my eyes wide open. From years of playing MMOs I knew it was going to be crazy for them to even try to keep up with weekly stuff for the show. Especially for a game on multiple platforms.

It's not the fact that there are problems that is getting to people. It's mainly that there are so many that aren't getting fixed. Along with the rampant cheating flux, patches that cause servers to crash.
I've played MMOs for many years as well. While issues and problems are expected.......there is a lack of response with many people. Also the most obvious bugs are the ones that were reported way back in the beginning and have not been fixed.
Couple that with a sudden release of patches that actually cause more issues.
I also know this patch expected tomorrow got people because it doesn't really fix anything except for low level people (people who just bought or are about to buy).
Add into that vague responses, and lack of information.
That's what's killing people. Then there's the really lacking chat system......kind of a hard topic for an MMO. Online play with limited chat with the others playing.
As far as I know, while they have clans (guilds) in this game........they really have no formal function ATM.
It's almost as if they tried to combine an MMOTPS with an MMORPG. But the goods parts of them didn't mesh.

As for the multiple platforms......well that would matter to many more people if they actually could interact in game with people on those other platforms.
I looked into a bit before as well.......AND expected problems. Even defended Trion. But all the problems are just too much.
Anyhow that digresses from the thread topic so I'll end here. There are plenty of other threads that go into further detail.

I think this was seriously misadvertised , I thought the season pass would give me access to actual content , I mean I suppose im not surpirsed by this point, it seems every aspect of this game so far has been nothing but vague misdirection at every turn.

Maybe ive missed it , has there been any real info on it ?
Since this upcomming patch looks like pure fail I think (although ive said it before) its time to drop this game, is it even possible to get a refund?
Yep I got mine refunded a few days ago using the live chat. Wasn't an issue at all, they didn't even ask any questions.
