New EVE Online expansion next month

Gonna be called Odyssey and adding many new visual effects including stargate transitions and the removal of loading bars! also, adding a massive exploration expansion.

Also, the APOC remodel looks SWEET!! And there finally rebalancing battleships . And the new Avatar color scheme looks incredible. They are also making POS tower changes and 0.0 outposts will finally be able to be able to become on par with high sec stations. Finally, capital rigs!! Exited about that one too.

    Who is looking forward?

EDIT: also almost forgot about the rebalance of the skill trees. If you dont have destroyers and battlecruisers at level 5 I suggest you get those ASAP.

First off mac or pc dooesnt matter and just a basic rig. EVE thankfully is not extremely taxing on your pc.

The exact requirements and specs from the EVE online official website

*Note that older graphics cards such as the Nvidia 6000 series may work but is not officially supported

Recommended system configuration for running EVE Online:
    OS: Windows® XP Service Pack 2 / Vista / 7
CPU: Intel Pentium® or AMD dual core @ 2 Ghz or greater which supports SSE2

    HD space: 20Gb Free Space
    Network: ADSL connection or faster
Video: ATi Radeon 5750 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460
Drivers: DirectX® 9.0c (included) and latest video drivers
DVD-ROM : 2 speed DVD reader or greater required.
The minimum screen resolution for EVE is 1024x768.
Audio hardware must support SSE and be Direct Sound compatible. For optimum performance, use latest drivers available.
Please note that Windows 95, 98, ME, NT and 2000 are not supported.

    Minimum System Requirements:
The client does not run on a PowerPC (G3/G4/G5) based Macintosh Machines. laptops or Mac Minis equipped with Intel graphics chipsets such as the GMA950 or X3100. Versions of the Macbooks and Mac Minis with Nvidia graphics chipsets are however supported.
Supported hardware is MacBook Pro laptops, Mac Pro machines and iMacs. All these machines have to meet the following minimum requirements below:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo with at least 2.0 Ghz speed
OS: Mac OS X 10.6.7 or higher.
Video: ATI HD2400, Nvidia 9400GT, or Intel HD 3000 or higher with at least 256 MB VRAM and supports Shader Model 3.
    RAM: 2048 MB or more
    HD space: 20 Gb
    Network: Broadband Internet connection

Please note: Macs with the ATI X1600 or ATI X1900 graphics chipset are not supported, but may be able to still run the game by disabling the "Load Station Environment" option.

Recommended system configuration for running EVE Online:
CPU: Intel Core i Series with at least 2.0 Ghz speed
OS: Mac OS X 10.6.7 or higher
Video: ATI 4870, Nvidia 8800GT or higher with at least 512 MB VRAM
    RAM: 4 GB or higher
HD space: 20 Gb or more
    Network: Broadband Internet connection

Do note that MacPro computers allow changing graphics cards

I currently run EVE on my macbook pro early 2011 model and it works perfectly. Can run on high graphics most of the time but I do downgrade graphics for very large battles. Helps to cut down on lag.

And the system requirements are really not that bad.

Also, if anyone is interested in trying EVE, ( it IS a subscription game with options to pay for time with in game currency but as its a player driven market, its EXPENSIVE this way)
I can offer a extended trial with another week than the standard 14 day trial period.

If your interested just send me a private message.

I used to love Eve, but stopped playing for over a year and just couldn't get back into it.
But I miss the days of being part of FRICK in the Mercenary Coalition (and after the MC disbanded) working with our close allies of Atomic Penguins and Fuzzpuss Inc.

Citadel Torpedos locked on...that would be interesting. A volley of capital missiles impacting a dust battlefield...might as well be bunch of nukes

Anyways, I am bored with dust. Been playing it since beginning closed beta build 1 way back early last year. Gonna be aswome when its fully launched though.

Wow, been playing EVE for 2 years now. Never heard of those alliances. Anyways if they were null sec alliances, guesses there no longer. Anyways, the goons control most of null sec these days. My old alliance, Intrepid Crossing a few months ago fell to the wrath of the goons and a classic case of the domino effect. One corp ran. Than another...and another. And now our once greatest ally, Solar Fleet has turned on us and the once large scale IRC( at our peak we controlled all of the Cobalt Edge region and about half of the neighboring Oasa region) is now down to a handful of systems trying to build ourselves up again.

LOL that **** game took nearly a year to finally get around to the destroy and battlecruiser tree change. Been like 1.5 years since they even mentioned that idea.

EVE blows period. Sorry, but the game comes down to the lowsec/nullsec ******* whining highsec is to safe and when they low/null go to highsec they are practicly safe themselves while at the same time whining how none of the highsec dwellers go to null/low (forgetting those ******s doing the shooty-first / whine later act is the cause there are less people in those regions...aka chase away your prey and then go after them in highsec where the predator is protected. Ironic).

EVE needs absolute consequences to your actions, none of the EFT a disposable ship and its ok to blow up those crappy hulks (of course, NOW they are harder to destroy after I left the game not that I bothered with mining after 3 months, what a boring *** profession) cause CONCORD still protects your -9.9 asspod since it aligns so fast. Everytime your ship blows up, you should lose 3.5 days worth of experiece or 5% of your clone (3.5 days is the bare minimum for low skilled toons) and no the "Update Your Clone" schtick...imagine the rule of losing your Strategic Cruisers applying to any ship but shuttles and rookie ships...NOW you have consequences to your actions.

Basicly, you should always lose if your ship is blow up....nothing should be acceptable just because you can EFT a cheap fit. If you ship blows up, you lost and now that game would be harsh.
