Alright, well, like I said im not really one to complain, especially for a (somewhat) free, MMORPG, and before people get upset and butthurt, I understand that the game was just released last month and some bugs are to be expected, but nevertheless, heregoes:

Purchased the game shortly after launch, LOVED it, the areas were pretty cool along with the enemies and pretty much the overall style and design of the game, to me seemed like a hybrid of a bunch of games that was well put together. Sadly, I've been slowly losing interest in the game, for a few reasons.

one, the initial story ends a little too quick for my taste, the side missions are okay but its pretty much just a million repetitive and tedious tasks that get pretty boring after a while. Also, the arkfalls were fun to start but now they too are just like "eh, maybe ill do it" and that kind of falls into reason two, the loot..

All I get from arkfalls or missions are outdated grenades and shields, I have yet to get a respectable upgrade for any of my gear whatsoever, and I have purchased a good amount of T4 lockboxes only to get crap gear, I understand that alot of people are used to super rare (legendary) weapons/gear being handed to them IE World of Warcraft players, but it does get a bit discouraging after lockbox 10 of T4 just to get crappy blues/greens and the occasional purp, it wouldnt be so bad if the items were actually benefiting me other than breaking it down for resources or scrip when I need it.

Also, I had modded a weapon fully, only to lose it in the matrix due to a glitch that the dev team is currently aware of, but it was the only good weapon i found/leveled and modded, andnow its gone, and when I took a ticket out of that and another issue i was pretty much told to screw myself and to "go and kill NPCs to find a new weapon" actual quote <-- Oh and it took about 2 weeks to get a response for my ticket as well

and the problems with instance pretty much speak for themself, constantly getting disbanded from my group, entering empty instances, entering at the end of an instance..and so on

so all in all the game is nice to look at, the pvp is complete BS, the loot system sucks, the arkfalls, pursuits, side quests, time trials and hotshots are all tiring and repetitive, and the customer support, well there is none..

I cant say I'm going to stop playing, because it is a nice time waster and i got a few friends into the game as well and they still enjoy it but I bought this for my 360 along with a Gold sub, and I'd really like to enjoy that and get my moneys worth out of it, so Trion please do me and all the loyal customers who got this a favor, and fix the bugs, fix the ******ed loot system you have going on, and seriously get your customer support in check.

I'm sure Trion has heard of all this a zillion times. My guess is they will probably be seriously looking at the loot drop rates. Don't forget, though, a lot of those "useless" drops can be turned into Ark currency which buys keycodes and helps mods weapons so that you really don't need to be looking for rares so much. That's how I look at it. I can't tell you how many purple items I've found that really weren't all that great compared to the modded out weapons I already had that were leveled.

I know they probably have and I really dont like to be "one of those guys" ya know but I'm hoping the more people complain about this stuff, the quicker it will get changed, and im not complaining saying oh my epics werent epic, i dont care what color it is or the rarity but if it is a rare i half expect it to be better than the weapon ive had since pretty much the start of the game, and when i save up 64 keycodes a hundred times, again, I half expect to get something useful, but instead of I have ark salvage out the *** and nothing to use it for, just wanna feel like all the hours I put in to the game are paying off, not slamming my head against the wall everytime i get a damn shield and a green grenade or something that I cant even use..

the customer support was what broke the camels back though, 2 weeks and told to get over it kinda pissed me off..

_but really, it seems the Dev's are really trying to sort stuff out, I know it not what you wanna hear..... but the way I see it the stuff I've lost will only end up being junk in the long run

Yeah I hear ya, I know its still a fresh game and ive been pretty patient with the bugs right after launch, they're to be expected from a newly launched game, especially an MMO, but at the same time, I would also expect the game that retails for 60 bucks on top of buying things in game with real money, to have some kind of structure IE the loot system to start, the instances I can deal with, I knew that was going to happen, it happens with every MMO, server down time, yup all that stuff was fine with me, but now its been idk how many hours spent playing, and I mean i still have lots to do EGO wise, but I havent had ONE upgrade, ONE decent lockbox, ONE decent instance run, I've had to SETTLE for a new weapon with MAYBE a slight increase, or just blatantly downgrade because something got "lost", but damn if I needed a billion shields and grenades then I'd be set..

I know what I get now will absolutely be trash down the line, but when you have to swap trash for trash, whats the point?

and ive read something about a season pass and the buyers get a new race and whatever else, like, for real? you're gonna make me pay for a new race?

Idk, Trion is striking out with me pretty quick, RIFT imo was awesome but its dead and i may be ony one customer but i know im not the only one who feels this way..and I have a kid at home, my time with the game is limited obviously, but I dont wanna waste the time I do have to play getting ****ty gear I cant use and I dont wanna wait for months after a game for it to finally be playabe and enjoyable..

I just hope they do get this stuff sorted out because its not like its a terrible game, its just at this point it has alot of terrible aspects..

The general combat system and aesthetics of Defiance is great, Trion did a good job there. The problem is why are you even farming for and buying lock boxes, the white weapon you have is sufficient to beat anything in the game?

^ That their is my only gripe besides some nice to haves, like chat feature expansion etc. There is just no reward in getting that uber gun. Now if it was a case that I could not beat Nim with that little white pistol and needed some cool orange weapon to achieve said task then there would be some motivation in doing all the side quests, ark falls, co-op's etc. No?
