Other player names disappeared??

So basically, I was playing a few days ago and I liked seeing who was who, by reading their names over their heads. this made things really easy especially when forming new groups and meeting new people, but since the latest patch the names have disappeared.

Is there any way that We could turn the names on?
I understand that some people might not like it, but if there was an option to turn the names on/off, like the damage numbers, that would be awesome. It would also make completing the social challenges easier, as I'd be able to properly communicate with people.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can turn them on but it doesn't work, players names are shown when they are using a mic though I believe.

I have noticed this too. only in the last few days. It was only then i realised i like to read the names. ha

Since the patch a couple days ago, nameplates etc are gone and only show up when I target a player with a BMG. I've reset, unchecked and rechecked all valid options. A couple friends have the same issue.

Likely the issue will get fixed, but its not that big a deal to me since you can browse people nearby by name using d-pad menu.

Anyone try that?
