It would be interesting if they allowed something like: FirstName "NickName" LastName

So you could have repeated "real" names but the Nick Name is unique.

For example:

Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds
Malcolm "Cpt Tightpants" Reynolds
Malcolm "Browncoat" Reynolds

I'd be okay with just naming my character Cpt. Tightpants. That name is just all sorts of badassery.

Nope, each platform with have its own servers. They only have the cross platforms in the alpha I believe. PC gamers would have too much of an edge on the console players. It was talked about a bit in one of the live streams.

Actually that was the sensible reason. The main problem that arose was Micro and Sony backing away from supporting a multi console game. Then they decided just to cut PC from xbox due to the imbalance
