Im fairly ne to the game. I was please when I made it to this mission. now I have been on this mission for 3 days just because I cant seem to get past the 2 phase of the boss fight. Is there and suggestions on weapons that can be used for this I would love to get passed this so I can see other fights like nim I know that's going to be a pain as well.
I found a combat shotgun with a fire elemental worked, just keep moving in circles around him and shooting. DO NOT STOP AND DO NOT GO BACK THE WAY YOU CAME.
if u hit me up on xbox...if its possible for me to help ya...ill help ya...i forget what mission it is...but i have restarted playing the missions again...so i obviously got through it....heh
There is a spot in the back left corner, if ha sit there it is easier to shoot the little guys when they come out. (Can't believe I forgot what they are called)

flashbang the smelters should help you right out
You can also melee attack them, which will knock them over, then shot the tanks with a pistol/Assault Rifle or SMG. Just stay behind the cover on the back left of the area, and let the smelter see you can come to you. Then Melee, shoot, and profit.
get a good shotgun and
DON'T
STOP
MOVING.
*cloak helps too

i am stuck here as well. i get the idea. fight until smelters come, shoot the packs, they run into the place under joe, this lowers the shield and you shoot him. but 75% of the time when i shoot the smelters they just die and do not run back under joe, explode, and lower the shield. ive been stuck here for WEEKS and its really taking the fun out of the game to the point im considering quitting. im using a grenade launcher and blast rifle combo that works well on everything ive encountered until this mission. i need help here bad or i guess im done.
