You know my friend, honestly, i don't think it is because you have too much faith or too excited about a new game.

I will be 100% honest here, and i will try to remember, since i joined EQ1 back then, my 1st mmo, if i ever felt so disappointed about an online game myself, so fast after release.
I mean i had a lot of fun for a long while in games like EQ1 and EQ2, SWG, GW1, Matrix Online, Autoassault, AoC, STO, GW2 and hey, i even had fun in Aion or SWTOR for a long while before it became kinda bad.

But honestly, i do not remember a single one where it became like that, after so few weeks of gameplay, it is very disappointing for me mainly because, yes indeed, it is obvious that they released the ultimate rushed product, half done, not as intended, and with a lot of content that never made it into the game as advertised.

Same good stuff happened again, when i joined Neverwinter, its been weeks, about same amount of time as Defiance, and i am still having a lot of fun with it, and FAR far away from being close to the end, i enjoy it a lot, and i play every day just like the others, and it's a new game i was excited about at 1st just like you.

Now it seems that on top of that, players will have to pay for DLC's good stuff.
I cannot complain myself about that, as the full DLC season pass was included in my ultimate edition, but still, for the rest, i have the feeling that some won't be happy at all very soon.

However, you're not entirely correct, we didn't purchase a complete game, we purchased a game that features content updates as the game progresses and grows.

It was entirely Trion's choice to agree to the contract that required a launch date 2 weeks before the showed aired.
