I personally like Minecraft and enjoy playing the mess out of it. Survival, Mining, building epic stuff You do what you want to do in Minecraft the only thing limiting you is your imagination.

It will takeover your life, according to raptr I have over 2000 hours and I still play it when im not on defiance.

I find it fun when you don't feel like playing more of an action oriented game. It's a good casual game, but I don't know about a life takeover game.
Worth buying for sure. I have a friend thats over 60 and he plays, so it's never to late to start Minecrafting.

I mean it will takeover your gaming life, I haven't played much other games since it came out. Defiance is the first game I have played that I enjoy enough to play instead of minecraft.

Same reaction. Before I played it. It looks dumb, the idea of it is dumb, the graphics are dumb but boy when I tried it I couldnt stop.

Frog is a beast and Crono Trigger is a very well done game.
Minecraft is also a well done game however they are still adding to it and making it better. Just like Defiance but I can deal with that. I just think it funny how people get their panties in a bunch over some downtime in an MMO.

What the servers are OFFLINE?!?!?! because the patch they put out borked up more than it fixed?!?! Thats it i'm done scr*w this game I want my money back for this half beta game.

Give it time let the coders work if something gets borked they will go into the code to findout whats fubaring it up and fix it. People these days don't have patience anymore.

Minecraft was kind of lost on me. But FTL did suck way more time out of my life than I ever expected. (Just to mention another indie time sink)

I jumped on the Mincraft bandwagon on my Xbox and jumped right back off. It's fun to play around with but it gets too boring too fast for me. I can understand the appeal and I don't deny that people can have tons of fun playing it. I'm just not one of them. I suggest you try your daughters game for a few days before you buy your own copy.
