LMG's: My thoughts, your thoughts....

I have come to really depend on my saw, when I'm not using an assault rifle as my primary. My question is, does anyone use the the Votan Disruptor, VBI LM-43 Thunder or EMC Rocker? These guns do less damage, with a slightly higher fire rate that a trade off for accuracy,in my opinion. A saw modded out is accurate and puts a lot lead down range. Is it just me? And does it seem harder to find a good saw, as opposed to almost any other weapon? Am I missing something?

And could someone explain Bloom and Fall off damage to. With out a manual it's kinda hard to be sure.

I'm not 100% but bloom is how your cross hairs expand when firing. And damage fall off is, if you ever notice when you move closer or father away from an enemy the damage is lower or higher? That's fall off

Saws are the best LMG in my opinion and bloom is how far your crosshairs( con of fire) will spread when you are holding down the trigger or very fast consecutive shots. I am not sure on fall off damage as I haven't found a definitive answer for it either.

My thoughts are simply that the SAW is the only LMG worth using.

Bloom is the expansion of your crosshair over sustained fire. The longer you fire, the wider the crosshair and the less accurate your shots will be. Falloff damage refers to the damage that is lost when hitting targets outside of the optimal range of whatever weapon you are using.

Bloom is how fast the reticle expends, and fall off dmg extends the max damage range of a weapon.
Saw IMO are the best lmg currently, I do like the EMC lmg that you buy in the vendors. Ibought a +3 burst mod yestorday I want to put on a disruptor to try that out.

Thanks for the info. Boy was I wrong on both of those. There should be an online manual or something.

Turn your damage numbers on and you will see fall off. Plus you learn how far you can be before the gun sucks. But hellbug damage is disappointing to see

Rocker is a three round burst with a lot of kick.

Thunder was OK, used it once but didn't stand out.

The SAW is so good, if you're looking for efficient play, is there a reason to use another gun? When dealing with boss types, a SAW with overcharge is pretty much your best option.

I wish they would have imposed movement speed on weapon types.

Tried the burst weapons and don't like em much myself. Sometime 5 or so rounds isn't enough to do the job. I can burst fire with my fire finger.

VOT Disruptor LMG is probably one of the coolest looking weapons in game. It`s probably one of the most useless weapons in game as well. With a whopping 111 base damage, coupled with the ever so mind boggling 3 round burst, why anyone in their right mind ould run the disruptor is beyond me. I would dare to say BMGs do better sustained dps.

If you consider all other "burst" weapons in game do HIGHER base damage than their fully automatic counterparts in the same class, you really have to wonder wtf is going on with the disruptor. My friends and I are all convinced the 111 damage is a typo. a 3 round burst LMG should be hitting for around 450 damage a round, or there abouts, keeping in line with other weapons classes where you see burst weapons doing higher damamge per round than their fully auto counterparts.
