Just FYI - it's all optional and none of it is required.

Wow suck balls always has. Only thing im thankful for from that game is opening some peoples eyes to 3d mmo's increasing the community making more fun...

The game needs what gw2 had... cant afford real cash then work hard make money use ingame currency to purchase bits that way these arent just items for those kids with rich parents but all of us, from the workers with bills to pay or the unfortunate uneployed people? Just saying

They are vanity items nothing more. And just like in real life it costs money to look good and not merely survive.
If you're unemployed you shouldn't have dropped the 60 to 100 bucks on the game just saying.

Then it's overpriced optional items. lol

Just because it's optional doesn't mean you have to jack up the prices.
I don't know what your marketing/business guys are saying, but I bet you anything if you drop the prices, more people will buy it and would completely make up for any loss in potential revenue by the dropped price. Especially if you start throwing in unique armors instead of just re-skins.

The way I see, is more or less pay-what-you-want model that path of exile did. You'd have multiple tiers of stuff. Some costing low as less than a dollar if I remember correctly, but the more expensive stuff you'd have to depart with several hundred $ if you REALLY felt you need to have the shiniest of shinies.

Then again considering it is a pay-to-play game, Im not touching the microtransactions on principle. The moment they become something I feel I need to progress in the game I'll just let Defiance go circle-touch-itself with Deadspace and head to greener pastures.
That's why I'm really not expecting the game to stay long after the show is over any more.

Trion may not be happy about it.......but I just don't see it as appealing enough to survive after that.

Alternatively sell this game's versio of eve's PLEX, a gametime card, let us transform it into bits ourselves or sell it forward. Everybody wins, company gets what would otherwise go to goldsellers, wallet-warriors can get their precious script while more or less stabilizing the currency (Scripts in this case) as its tied to real-world comodity... I assume a game like this doesn't have that many moneysinks?

Win-win-win, if you are a walletwarrior, triton gets the cash. If you aren't, you can still buy this virtual currency and perhaps DLC with it in the future? As long as triton gets their real world money there shouldn't be an issue and those of us can farm script/goods and trade them for bits, to purchase DLC.

boosts are cheap because people keep buying them, outfits and vehicles are expensive because you might only buy 1 or 2, do you understand how that works?
