I suppose the "solution" to this issue is Neverwinter is a released product and has the feature-set of a released game.
Defiance is a released product still stuck at a beta level of functionality and continued support.

I have done research on perfect world. I've played perfect world. I've put 2grand into perfect world international myself. sorry to tell you but the company is pay to win. "free to play mmos" are pay to win games. pay zen to get in game currency to buy whatever the sh** you want? kay sir. point made. looked at NW cash shop. 18 of best items for 300$ hmmm your logic is invalid. the ones that are hardcore for "open beta" and purchase these will have an advantage and roll your a** day one to the point you or any other hardcore will be forced to do the same just to compete and so on. this is how perfect worlds makes their money. and do you know who these hardcore gamers are? egys 75% of the time.
Trying to play both but NW is stealing most of my time. Defiance has the original concept going for it but NW has one of the best things an MMO can do, "Player Created Content", so there will never be a lack of things to do as new content is uploaded everyday. As far as downtime I have heard that some people have had trouble with the patcher but I for one have not, this could be due to either host or server side having problems but it is not as rampant as the "patch error" Defiance suffered with its launch. NW also was not rushed to market like Defiance so they had a proper alpha, closed beta and are now going with a open beta/soft launch. If Trion can get it together soon they can keep up but if problems persist I'm afraid those that didn't leave for NW will leave for TES:OL and Defiance will be another great idea that just wasn't executed properly.
we're going on 4 hours of downtime in Neverwinter.
c'mon Cryptic get it together, I got two straight days off to burn, and no money to go anywhere (except to see Iron Man 3)
