"Buggiest" game ever?

Game I tested and was release with every single bug ever found was... Vanguard:Saga of Heroes! It took devs 2 additional years AFTEr release to finally fix it to the state it should have been at release! ><

Now of course this doesn't make the bugs in Defiance 'okay', but buggiest game ever, nowhere near, the reality is the game industry as a whole simply has low standards and is amateurish.

Umm no. It has nothing to do with being an amateur or having low standards. It's about money. You can only pay developers for a limited amount of time before you run out of money and you have to balance between getting the systems you want in the game in a working condition and fixing bugs that, while annoying, at least aren't gamestoppers. Gamestopper means that the game cannot be finished.

In MMO's you are constantly working on new things, balancing and adjusting a myriad of systems and the process to get a working build takes time, a lot of it. Which means that a dev teams has to fix things on the live server AND on the test server for their next update to minimize new bugs from appearing.

You obviously shouldn't just accept buggy products but bugs are simply a fact of life in games these days. The complexity of a large scale video game is mind-boggling to people who've never made a game and most critics haven't got the slightest clue.

In simple terms, it's logistics more than anything.

I love this game but lets to be real ,YES it is one by buggiest mmo on market ,now.
Devs ll solve it for sure,just patience... I can live with my weapons stoped lvl up few last days ... but if that continue I ll lost patience

I've played Rift in beggining, and you guys did a great job in there.

And then you write this about Defiance ?

Worst game of the year. Buggiest game ever.

I was among the first people to hit 50 in Rift.

And there is still some alpha bugs (pvp related) in the game that is game breaking today.

I am starting to think that you have no idea what bugs are..

This isn't the buggiest game ever, but it's certainly not at the top of the list. Think bottom half, not upper half.

I agree with what most all of the former posters said..ever?..not by a LONG shot!
Then there's two simple facts: Pc version....look at the op sys they have to program it to play on..now that! (windows) is a known "buggy" product (as they tend to be..and stay). Makes writing code a royal pain.
2: First true MMO for platforms...very ambitious to even try...bigger and supposedly better funded companies have stayed away from that pain in the tail just waiting to ream em.
I'm the "glass half full" sort of old man..so...I'll just stick with it and see where we go.
Tho I still wish (as I have for many years) that on side of boxes under "system requirements"...PATIENCE was listed.

Let's look at MMOs? Anarchy Online at launch? Or hell, a year after? TSW? SWG? SWG was a buggy mess YEARS after release!

I don't think any MMO will take the crown from AO.
