First let me begin by saying that I really love this game. I am so excited about the potential that this game has. one of the things that I enjoy the most is the fact that I can play it however I want. I just cant get over how seamlessly you can progress through the game and missions. its a breathe of fresh air to know that there is no pressure, u play at your own pace. currently im a 780 ego. I have already beaten the main missions and seriously considering starting them again. but as it stands right now im content to keep grinding on the side missions and such.
now I would like to also say that I am not a MMO virgin. I played EQ as my first experience and had instantly fallen in love with it. I then began to play ffxi (xbox). I played for 2 and half years on this game and I loved it dearly. I had the best fun in my gaming life (which is approximately 30 years...[Atari child] ). I made a lot of friends, whom I still keep in contact with regularly. so I am not a stranger to games nor MMOs.
stay with me cause I am coming to a point. lol. ive had this game since the launch. and it distresses me to see no community allegiance. no large group parties or clan that are there for no other reason except to be part of a group that goes out of their way to help a fellow clansman. now I understand that the xbox community (as a whole) are not used to this type of game play. but I also believe that trion has not, in my opinion, made the game to where ppl need to work together. where are the epic quests? the NMs that take dozen of guilds to beat so that one person can get a quest item they have worked so hard for.? do u see what im saying? there is not much on this game to help players learn to work together.
there are a few other things that I would love to see happen in this game. and I truly hope the devs listen because I truly believe that the core of their players will be in agreement with me. one thing I would absolutely love to see is a economy. AH and the like, imo, are imperative for large communities. not just an economy but a banking system as well. why cant I find a rare weapon that a mob has dropped and store it in my bank. idk like I said I know others have posted about this but wanted to put in my opinion on it as well. I would also love to random NM pops. I mean its one thing that I believe makes exploring fun. I miss camping on NMS waiting for them to pop. I've also seen others post about crafting. I agree with them whole-heartedly. and crafting in this game would be perfect. why can we not be able to craft as a "gunsmith", mod creator, blacksmiths for armor, etc. I mean since the premise of this game is modern/furtue based. there should be implemented. like I previously stated, there is sooooo much potential here. how could the devs be so blindly and not understand what this community wants. I understand that this would take effort on their part but why would not want to give what ppl wants. I mean at some point in their lives they were gamers too.
im not a fanboy and I am not trying to bash anyone or tell anyone how to run their game. I just believe that it seems (to me) that there was so much more that was supposed to be in here but for some reason its not.
so thank you all for listening to my ideas and opinions. I do like this game. and I want so bad to be in love with it. also if anyone was a ffxi player my name is Arledge (asura). I was a proud linkshell holder that my friends and I started. at one time was one of the biggest clans on the server. I would love to hear any inputs you all would like to add. Thank you
