Hmm, the locations of the recorders and the discoveries are useful. But the missions and hot spots? Just working your way through the zones you will unlock all of them.

What I do is do a couple steps on the main mission and then mix in a few side missions or hotspots/trials. So that basically the zone is done when the main mission moves on. I'd also recommend doing the episode tie in mission line as soon as you have it unlocked. It is fun and gives some decent rewards.

There are many more pursuits than mentioned in the guide. Especially the combat pursuits are worth checking.

Concerning weapons, if you have enough inventory slots, it does not hurt to try different weapon types. Be also aware that there can be major differences within a category. For your EGO level it goes not matter if you get five levels with the same weapon or with five different weapons (exception combat pursuits). Some weapons will only appear at EGO level 100+.

A map with just all the locations would be nice. Searchable, preferably, for those pesky contracts. But I am sure someone has one ready to go already.

    Just what he said!
i toss my hat for the effort..... but the only usefull things are the data record locations. Everything else is allready showed ingame and because you marked the different areas to specific EGO-Rating it can misslead a lot of new players. They could start to think we have some level-bound areas like in most mmorpgs (even we don´t have levels.... EGO-Rating is just like achievement-points in other games).
Overall you didn´t make a "Level Guide", but a "Playthrough Guide"..... because to raise your EGO-Rating there are a lot more things to do and that are a lot more effective than just playing through the game.
Fastest way for the start is working on Pursuits like focusing on one combat Pursuit after another and not randomly use different weapons.... and don´t forget the coops (actually the fastest EGO-Rating gain of all) and Arkfalls (do every type one time for the "Enemy" pursuits) that will give you some fast EGO-Rating too

The Exploration and Data Recorders are awesome. Any chance of getting a DL mod for the actual in-game map? Sorry, I was a little spoiled by the City of Heroes/Villains map patches.
