I'm loving the game, and it doesn't feel as much SP since I have forced myself to be more social in the game and party with people more. In the beginning I played through most of it solo because I wanted to do all the missions and challenges. I'm always talking to somebody in chat or teamspeak for the past week now. The game can be as much SP or MP as you want it to.

In game chat and voice chat can definitely use some work. You can always hop in somebody's teamspeak, vent, raidcall, etc... Is this game for everybody? Not at all. If you liked playing in beta and can look past some bugs (I just avoid them till they are fixed) get the game, you can still have a lot of fun.

You will love it until you finish the main quest line and then there's nothing to do but grind stupid achievements.
Of course if you like PvP you can always grab a shotgun and constantly jump and shoot at people over and over.

The crap about it being interactive with the show is BS too. Aside from a couple of missions that were already in the game before the show aired there's pretty much no kind of crossover happening so far.

Hell, go play any Transformers game and it ties in more with any of the movies than this game does with its show.

    Again, DON'T BUY THIS GAME.
So...., it is like every other game to a person like yourself. Buy, finish main game, move on = Game sucks! Because when you get down to the nuts and bolts, every ****ing game is like that, every last one I have ever played since 1985!

No. There are a lot of games I go back and play even after I've beaten the main content. Or just start over again and be the evil version of my character. But with this game, you have no choices, so starting over is just going to be an exact repeat.

If the co-op missions gave you an actual reward for completing them (blue/purple/orange at the end or loot from the boss, either way) that would be sufficient. As it is now though, grinding tokens is not fun. I can do that in WoW and have more fun, and I loathe playing WoW.

Or if the achievements took some amount of skill to complete maybe that could keep me going for a while. But all the "Kill X number of <insert enemy here>" is just a slap in the face to be called an Achievement. Basically once you find the location of your achievement, you have completed it because they are so easy. The scavenger hunt is the hardest part...

So, in addition to the flat-out lie about the game being a crossover with the show, it takes no skill, there's no replay value, and you get no rewards except tokens which you use to gamble for crap blues.
^ Those are my top 3 gripes for this game.

I always go back and play Mass Effect. Beat it 3 times and in the middle of the fourth of all 3 games. Not to mention the co-op. And there is other games I play on a repeat. This one does not do that for me.

Never apologize for a Python quote!

If your primary reason for playing is PvE content then no there isn't anything else.

But if you want to unlock ego rating 4000 to have no limits on the power/perk loadouts you create for future DLC and PVP, all the content you might have skipped via the "Pursuits" becomes very important.

And if you plan on modding the ultimate weapons to go with your favorite loadouts things like scrip, salvage and keycodes make every piece of content a worthwhile investment.

For a $60 game with no sub, I didn't expect it to be a game I could play for 8 hours a day, but I'm happy with logging in and being able to choose the content I like and still advance my character. Most of the big MMOs that I have played offer a lot of content I don't care to ever play.

OP, just go to gamestop and buy the used version, im sure there's plenty to choose from.

But for the love of gawd, please, please, please, if you buy the game, if somehow during your visit to this glorious forum you recieve information from a few people that explains how great the game is and you go out and buy it, you better not come on the forums and ***** if you find it lacking, or generic. Those same people will eat your lunch and tell you to quit the very game they suggested you buy!

Im just telling you how it is...

Seeing how you came to PC forum I assume you'd play with PC, so buying used isn't an option.

Having said that, the game certainly isn't in my books worth the full price but for 27€ you can get it for now, I'd say its pretty decend fun.

I've decided not to buy Defiance after looking thought the forum. I rater spend money on Metro: Last Light. Looks like this one will be a bust if Trion doesn't up their game (They better shape up now because Defiance needs a lot of work).
