What is your source for this? I haven't seen anything from the developers that said this...

In order to completely max out your EGO grid you'd have to spend 260 perk points. You get 1 perk point each time you level up. Therefore you must level up 260 times to max your EGO grid. Each time you level up you receive 10 EGO. Thus, leveling up 260 times will give you 2600 EGO.

Also just because your toon is 2600 ego doesn't mean you have enough points. Completing some pursuits give +5;+15 ego etc. So don't freak out when you hit 2600.

Each EGO level is tracked via the yellow experience bar on the bottom of your screen or under the character progresion tab. In total, a maximum of 2,600 EGO rank can be gained this way.

That's a whole other claim.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't gain 5000 EGO from XP alone. Yes of course your EGO grid would be completely filled, but so what?

I think after a certain point your xp bar will not reset. Once get a certain amount of xp it will just stay full. Since they want you to do weapon leveling and pursuits and all that good stuff (no idea if I am remotely close to being right or not)

At launch the maximum EGO was 5,000. The forum members further broke this down to include the maximum EGO from pursuits (1,200), weapon leveling (988), and EGO levels (2,600). The remaining 212 EGO rank was never clarified by Trion. I don't care if you believe me or not, but I am 100% correct in stating that the maximum EGO level is 260, which provides 2,600 EGO of the 5,000 maximum.

Also note that vehicles and episodic pursuits have since increased this maximum EGO, but without knowing what the mystery 212 EGO includes it is impossible to calculate a new maximum EGO. Here is the source for the 5,000 EGO limit at release: http://forums.defiance.com/showthrea...l=1#post523794

I agree that the maximum EGO is 5000, but the addition of XP, pursuits, etc was done by a random forum member.

Can you point to something from a dev/moderator that states that the most EGO you can get from XP is 2600?

If your only basis for your "100% certainty" is some random person's calculation, you need to think again...
