chat cross over works ??

Why cant they get the chat to work over the console / PC ??
I have just whatched a presentation from the EVE on line fan fest and they are also , releasing a free to play FPS on the PS3 with full cross over wait for it CHAT SYSTEM that works .
I know it works because guess what guys n gal's iv been playing DUST 514 which is the name of the game .
And i have been talking and playing with other players from EVE PC and PS3 , join'd a group ect , ect .
So if you want to see a proper game launch from beta to full game (game out 14/5/2013)then head over to the EVE online web site .
I'm going to be playing the game for sure and i wish defiance the best of luck for the future .
May be will check in to see how the game develops over time i hope it really dose get better for everyone

Well unless I am mistaken CCP's game is for ps3 only so there is no Microsoft/ps3 conflict going on, however I don't see cross over chat being all that useful unless the game interacts in other ways aswell, such as trading etc.

Because you can chat to the players playing EVE as well as the players on the PS3

Trion couldn't do cross platform with the game because they couldn't make MS a Sony become best friends.

Aye it does. Including trading but more importantly I can pewpew with my spaceship in eve and fellow mercenaries in ps3 get the shaft-end of the artillery power, from orbit.

But yeah, unfortunately as much as I'd like to blame it solely on Trion, something tells me its a bit hard to make MS & Sony burry the war-hatchet and smoke the peace-pipe.

I cant remember if it was on a live stream or a interview but I remember someone asking Trion about cross platform play and the Trion guy said that they actually use a cross platform build inhouse but they couldn't put it into the live build due to legal reasons.
