I'm not that guy but if you are going to use that logic...

If I am hungry and told I could get free food at a restaurant and they said my food would be ready at 8:00 and yet its 9:00 and I have still yet to get my food then ya I would most likely walk out to another place to get my food. I am hungry after all.

But you didn't pay for it, so you aren't entitled to anything, and if the food is in beta, there could be some problems along the way that cause the delivery of the food to be delayed...better to wait for a finished plate of food, than to rush a finished plate of food out and it not be complete.
