Don't feel bad. People that are used to playing third and first person shooters have an easier time in this game. If you are used to playing MMOs with the trinity combat system, this game is quite a change.

Just a little advice (if you want it): One thing you can do is scout the area before you go in. Look for choke points and any cover you can use to block line of sight. Then once you aggro mobs, run! Try to get them to chase you through choke points and then throw pyro grenades and then pick them off while they panic (most non-boss npcs will panic when on fire.) If you are using cloak, use it to escape rather than attack.
