X360 game install & patch content FOR EACH PLAYER!?

Why on earth should you have to install the game for each gamertag that wants to play this game? And why the hell is patch content owned the the player account.

This means that the 11GB current size of defiance for my gamertag becomes a 22GB because my friend came over and wants to play his character on my console!

This is totally ridiculous!

Lol. What's ridiculous is the fact you are complaining about something so... null and void. Hard drive space comes and goes. Delete some other stored items. Your friend doesn't NEED to play om your console.

No, he's right. What if you have a family? What if my wife and 2 kids want to play this game? That's a lot of HD space on a drive that has a max of 250 gigs. It doesn't make any kind of sense.

But he is talking about a friend. And what if he had a family? Well, simple solution: On the character select screen, scroll right until you see the option to start a new character. I just tried it and BOOM loaded up a new story, no extra download required.

My husband and I both play on one XBox and I agree. It kinda sucks. I mean I have plenty of storage space but having to do the patch twice is kinda lame. Plus we both have to buy the dlc, which had never happened before with any other game.

I suppose we could have started under the same gamertag but, I want to be able to play with my friends on my gamertag and get my OWN achievments

Yeah... that kinda sucks. Most likely an oversite in programming as a result of the game being rushed to market. Probably a manageable barrier for most people ( unless theyre using a 20-60 gig HD ) and most likely something Trion will fix at a later date, presuming that the game has a comperable lifespan to that of other MMOs.
