So, after all this time and patience, it finally hit me.

I like this game, i like the idea of it. There are alot of broken things, im just kinda down about alot of it though. I wish Trion could've waited a little bit longer, and gave us an extended beta. It's just, everytime i log on, one mistake gets fixed, and that causes another three. I know they are working hard on the game and all. I'm also tired of the "it's a new mmo" excuse. I'm also finding things repetitive and boring now. If a person was to play this game without friends they would quit. I like to market and monetize things, which is why i invest in weapons and sell them higher for more scrip. I guess the main thing that made me discouraged was how i heard that new pvp map was in the game while i was asleep, and to wake up to see that it dissapeared again. I think there are a ton of alternatives they can do to make the gaming experience better. Maybe if they fixed region locking, they would have less servers to tend to. This thread isn't about making a rant or getting mad like the other people with 2 or 3 posts do, it's just to say, that i'm starting to become dissapointed more and more. Another thing was the show, it was good on the first episode, now it looks like its going to plummet. I'll still continue to show support and stick with the game and market scrip, i'll still be dissapointed everyday. Heck, live chat didn't have time to listen to all the glitches i found today, i found 8 glitches today that isn't even featured on youtube, they just told me to submit an ingame report. "ain't nobody got time for that" I know i'll get some negative inputs, but i've worked with MMO designing before, i know how it works, anyway, cheers to my first rant thread.

On a more serious note, I understand your disappointed feelings towards Defiance. Honestly I don't even really like the game -gasp- :P My friend got the game so I figured I'd get it as well. I can enjoy pretty much any game if I'm playing with him, but Defiance isn't so bad that I can't enjoy playing it solo. The PvP is pretty bad imo. The story is not very interesting imo. And the game play is fun, but like you mentioned it gets repetitive without any real goals behind it. Overall I'd give Defiance a 6.5/10. But this could change given some tweaks to PvP and a lot more content in general. But hey this is just my useless opinion. I wish Trion the best of luck with the game.

It's ok to be disappointed, and post things like this. There are a lot of similar threads, obviously, but yours is definitely less a rant than most, so props to you!

Anyways, I think most everyone can agree with you. I love the game, I'm still excited to log on, and I'm still enjoying every aspect. The problem is that it IS lacking a lot of captivating content. At this point, I would never give it anything above a 7.5/10, but that doesn't mean I can't have FUN. If the least I do is have a fun experience, I consider it money well spent.

When I played my first 10 hours or so I had the exact same mind-set you're in now. I set the game down for about a week, and browsed the forums getting a feel for what the game actually is, rather than what's expected. After doing that the enjoyment I've gotten out of it has soared. It's never a game I could see myself spending 12 hours straight on, but it is one I can throw in after work and just explore and have a good time. Hopefully you got your monies worth!

Looking for like-minded individuals to play with! If you're a musician, audio-engineer, or just LOVE music add me ^_^! If you're none of the above, well, I still need some people to game with.

But they made RIFT, lauded for being the complete 'straight out of the box' game. I never played it, so I only have a youtube opinion of it. But why Defiance has such a lack of an MMO feel when they've previously produced something that looks so good... I don't understand.

An excuse on the community page was it was pushed into release... how much longer did they need? It's been a month, short of a few glitch/bug fixes, the game is pretty much as it was from release.

I still like the game and I'll be playing for a time yet, but it won't be long before I start feeling like I'm only playing because I bought the season pass and have to play to justify paying 3200 Microsoft points for said pass... 4 vendors that sell the same 3 vehicle skins honestly isn't going to keep my interest sparked!
