True.. But I can salvage his stuff and get orange gear, since my lockbox luck is better than his.

What makes you sure that your luck will "be" better than his? Are you simply going by the fact that it may have "been" better than his has "been" up until now?
If so, then I wonder.... what will you do if you (starting now) spend as much resources as he has, without getting any orange or otherwise useful gear? In case you don't already know it, 1.7mill ark resources is A LOOOOOOOT of freaking salvaging and grinding...... like, a full month's worth.

The motive is to force me to buy scrip to buy lockboxes, which is the stupidest move they can make considering the whole way this game is designed.

I'm not gonna buy a lockbox for cash EVER, when I have a astronomical chance of getting nothing of use. They're sitting here making it harder and harder to grind lockboxes in hopes people will buy them. It's funny to me. They should just remove lcokboxes from the cash shop, make them a little less RNG, and focus on cosmetic stuff that people will buy.

And yes it's all luck and RNG. My buddy's first tier 3 lockbox had 1 orange and 2 purples. They were junk but at least he got an orange to say he got one. I can't do that and feel all the repetitive grinding I've done on this game has given me nothing in return.

I can understand fustrations that end up resulting in a quit, but over just poor luck on legendaries..
So no no uninstalling like a boss at all, Ill spare you as what I think.
But again I can understand fustrations with the state of game, but the game IS connected to the series BUT we are not playing an active part in the series, as clearly advertised we lead the life of an arkhunter chasing arkfall after arkfall around San Fransisco, while the show takes part in/around Saint Lois (HINT HINT HINT HINT HINT). The tie could have been stronger but it clearly IS there.
But Im sorry you didnt enjoy the game as much as you should and do wish you luck trying to find what it is you are looking for.

You know what? Ill be right back. Im going to turn all the salvage i got since the beginning of the game (give or take a few mods here and there) and make them into keys.. i want to see if i get any... im going all tier 3 boxes.

Well, I could assume that my luck will change rapidly, yes, or I could realize that its all an RNG gamble anyway, and have fun opening lockboxes and seeing whats inside. I am also very aware of how much salvage that is, as I have probably spent around that much, its all luck and RNG.
As for what I would do if starting now, I spent as much resources as he has, without getting an orange or otherwise useful gear, I would chalk it up to RNG, and still enjoy the game.

i feel your pain, i only got one before the patch and just bought my other ones (with script) while my friends were getting at least 2 - 3 a day and now its a lot harder to get keys because theres no more keys for emergencies. the lockbox luck system is terrible, half the people get an abundance whilst the other half gets frustrated.

but i paid $100 for the deluxe edition in a ****ed economy so ill still be playing like a boss lol

And thats a sad thing really, if this dude really spent that much salvage when hes high ego.. and didnt get one orange out of the deal. Well, lets say thats making me question the motives of the devs.

Especially when the game constantly has bugs.. hasnt have any episodic content, just kill x of y type stuff... etc.. yeah.. huh...

Not to mention with all the not working pursuits all we get is some pseudo dodge commercial in the form of a time trial that gives you car skins you can get if you simply get lucky at a vendor anyway...

He just has horid luck, I havent spent a single bit on lockboxes and purely used the keycodes I obtained through various of missions, arkfalls and salvage, Ive obtained 7 legendaries in total, including some crappy pistol I obtained today.

I wanted to like this game. Despite the hundreds upon hundreds of problems I can think of..The nail in the coffin for me was a wager I made with myself. I had 1.7 mill ark resources saved up I decided to spend it all at once just now in attempt to at least get one legendary in my entire playthrough. I bought a mixture of tier 4 and 3 lockboxes tonight and didn't get a single weapon I could even slight give a sh@$ about. Not a single orange. I'm getting close to Ego capped and have never seen an orange. Funny thing is legendaries aren't even that special they just have a slight chance to have nice bonuses on them that don't suck a #!@%.

I'm done. There's absolutely no reward for wasting my time on this game. I can live with lack of content, awful bugs, awful pvp, and the easiest pve I've played in any game (Nim is a flat out joke), the false advertising, the game having literally no solid connection to the show, the lackluster/short story line. However, If I have literally not got a single piece of gear that made me go yay an upgrade in a month then I feel I have wasted my time.

I really hope you guys at Trion don't screw up Archeage as bad as this.

Edit: Wasn´t around for 2 weeks or so. I gave the game some time like ppl said, I come back, and there is still absolutely no change to the game whatsoever.
Weren´t there content patches promised? Where are the chat and UI fix/changes. It´s been over a month now.

Oh well, I´ll pop in in another 2 weeks or so...
