The fact that simply getting around the world in this game has been made fun and easy by having no cooldowns on fast travel like WoW's Hearth Stones and the ability to "go to friend" negating the need for a WoW mage like class just shows that this game is about Gameplay not Gear! It's about Fun not Mindless Spell Rotations!
What I don't get is why come on a forum and bag a game you no longer want to play? Why waste your time and energy? Why not just simply stop playing? Because the truth is you want this game to succeed, you want it to get better, you really do want to play this game... but the problem is it's only been a month and you want it all now! now! now! I honestly don't expect this TV Show and Game to truly find it's mark until at least another 6-12 months and that doesn't bother me because I'm patient and understand that good things take time and get better with age.

About 10-20% of my Defiance gaming time has been PvP so no, for me it's about the journey not the destination.
Just come to say hang in there. Im ego1700+now, and I spent almost 5 million salvage on those boxes, I only got 1 orange, so the chances are pretty low. You are not the only one out there, and you are probably not the most unlucky one, neither.
..and i only can say the trick is to KNOW where the special place for orange weapons is
