Competitive Multiplayer issues

I guess i am comparing it to Battlefield 3 which I really enjoyed until the cheaters and glitcher b*tches ruined a great game. And I think this has the potential to be more fun that bf3. It might just need a year or 2 to get there. by then my ps4 will be out and I will be onto something else. I am not a fanboy or anything. I just enjoy fun things.

And thats fine. You should be able to use whats in the game. Its just so not a finished product and not polished and not balanced. I think the coop and main game is fun besides the countless errors and drops and bugs. I think it works well as a shooter but it just falls apart when it loads competitive shooting. I guess I should point out that IM a PS3 user. Maybe the PC side is smoother. I just wish they wouldn't put pursuits into competitive multiplayer. I do not want to do them but i feel wrong not trying to get the ego points.

I agree that its not anywhere near balanced, FRC SAW 3 shotting people, Cloakers getting the same buff as people using overcharge, ATV's being overpowered compared to the cerberus. You can one hit someone in an ATV but try it with a cerberus. NOPE

On the same note as Cloak and Shadowed strike, the buff from shadowed strike is applied to each pellet in a shotgun and not distributed. Hence the over powered nature of the combo.

I’m new to shooters and not that good. Co-Ops put me with better players and together I can enjoy quests that would be difficult for me alone. Besides, you don’t have to play them – you can do arkfalls.

i think a lot of the issues brought up here are lack of practice based. infectors can be annoying if someone has the high ground on you and a good hidding spot but other then that i find them weak compared to my rifle.

atv: KEEP moving and use the enviroment to your advantage. staying in one spot is asking to get run over or shot in the back by a cloaker.

if you are not a fun of evasion tactics like jumping stay back away from the node and use ranged weapons to control the area around it but just keep moving and a shotgun on you to deal with close range. even without jumping around well timed shots and smart thinking will prevail

A part of it is that I am fairly new to MMO's and I still am not sure alot about the weapon types and what not. But it is so hard to learn and then on top of it, you get disconnected or glitched or the enemies don't even show up on the screen. Its hard for the more casual to semi casual people to play. In my opinion if you are playing a shooting game and someone is trying to kill you and the best tactic is to jump like a bunny, really is not a good game. This is why a lot of the more serious call of duty players including myself are starting to shift to games like battlefield where its not a jump and run game. Thats what paintballs are for. And its fine if thats the way its going to be. I will just not play it. But if they fixed the latency and bugs and balancing it might be fun!
