Promotional items of the game decieving?

So I've just been looking through various Defiance related things today, such as the screen shot section on the Xbox home page, or various screen backgrounds around the Defiance site. What do all of these have in common? Showing a plethora of weapons/outfits/vehicles that are currently not in the game. Some even show tattoos/hair styles not yet in the game. There's even an image of a Cerberus at an Arkfall... So why has all of this stuff been left out of the game? Are these all future DLC items that were used to promote the game? Or content that was removed to be sold later? I'll try and get a couple of examples so you don't think I'm just speaking shtako.

yeah and the graphics look way too good for xbox 360.. i also see that swarm cannon that you can use in the Hotshot challenge: Hamburger Hill in the arkfall screen shot as well and i havent see it in the game yet.

There's no way those pics came from the Xbox. Everyone's supposed to look like a bald, white guy in survivalist clothing.

I like how the game looks considerably better in the marketing screens than in launch. It's almost as though these are PC screenshots with those missing custom graphical settings that are missing in Pc client then when you select the option.

I can somewhat get those visuals by using sweetfx but still those screenshots are incredibly deceptive and that's not including the types of stuff shown in them.

I think we need to devise a new term for BS marketing shots with this game. I suggest Freibrum. Yes, these marketing shots are pure Freibrum!

I had to switch my sweetfx off just now to see if they improved the game.. nope.. though, I did realize why I dislike the vanilla graphics.. its all so.. blurry.. everything having that post apocalyptic washed out feel is fine, but whys it so blurry?
Back on topic, those screen shots are def. not vanilla defiance graphics settings.

For example, for SWTOR, watch the classes video, and see how most of the skills/armor skin are not available ingame.
Well, for SWTOR, some of those armors came ingame, after a year of whinning. For the small price of 25$/character.
