Ego Rating 1,685, and no orange items ;( Any advice?

I only got also one orange item - a flare pistol which is only good in pve for this guys with the shield.

if it makes you feel better im ego 2666 have opened way more T3 and T4 boxes than i can count, and have never seen an orange, and very rarely purples. meanwhile i have friends who have handfulls of oranges.

Pretty much this. I found 1 orange shotgun out of maybe 15-20 tier 3 boxes I've opened. Aside from the synergy mods, which I have no interest in grinding for, they are basically the same as a white gun. Only good thing about them is they have some built in bonus mods. Like my shotgun came with +9 magazine and some other buff on it. So they are a little better, but not amazingly better than any other color weapon.

Just keep opening them, I have only been doing T4 boxes now and I'm up to around 5 or 6. Two bolt action, one combat shottie, one pump shottie, one grenade ground pounder. I traded a clan mate one of the bolts for a assault rifle. I did go through a dry spell though, I think they may of altered drop rates somewhat perhaps. I could of just had a run of bad luck, but this latest ground pounder was pretty nice stats.

There was a very long period between 1,000 and 2,400 ego where I was seeing no oranges (or even pruples) in tier 4 lock boxes. Which lead me to believe they were bugged or nerfed at the time.

Prior to that 1,000 ego rating I was seeing an orange roughly one in every four tier four lockboxes, if it didn't have an orange it more or less had at least one purple in it....

After I hit 2,400, I had two orange items from the very first two tier four lockboxes I opened, and since then I was seeing pretty much a similar pattern to what I had before 1,000. I usually see an orange in one in every five/six lockboxes.

Tbh honest I would really worry about oranges until after 2,400 ego when they have an extra trait stat over purple items, prior to 1,000 they're essentially a purple at best and a green at worst.

Does a particular lockbox location have anything to do with it? Has any devs come out and said anything about it? Am I just one unlucky son of a gun?

I think the rate and chance is terrible considering you CAN use real cash for these boxes of crap.

Just forget OJ weapons they arent that great tbh and never a replacement for some skill.

Im guessing the rate/chance is so low to force you to buy boosts.

I think I got most of my orange from lockbox t4.

Im ego 1200 and got my first orange today from a tier 3 a cluster grenade =(
