Trion stance on self boost when the server is down. Nice customer support

i contacted trion finally to all of you whom had boost stolen from you due to the vast server down time here is their stance
GM Shingala: I can certainly understand how that can be frustrating. I will be more than happy to assist you with that! In order to do so, I'm going to need to collect some information from you.
GM Shingala: Unfortunately, we do not replace boosts that were lost due to unexpected downtime.
GM Shingala: I can certainly submit feedback regarding that on your behalf.

sad day when an once great gaming company such as trion doesnt care about their customers. To think i was once the person whom defended them in the game and on the forums , lesson learned , money is all they care about.

    That's pretty appalling.

Then again, I can't understand anyone having spent a cent on this game since launch. I will not pay them another dime until they have demonstrated an ability to stop things people pay for from disappearing or becoming inaccessible (like boosts during a prolonged server outage).

I hate boosts in any MMO. They are always "real world time" and not "time I actually freaken played". WTF is the point of a 1 day boost for example if you only get to play 4 hours? Stupid mechanic and MMOs need to stop implementing it or fix it to time played like it should be.

Sucks you're not getting credited for downtime caused by them. Seams a bit absurd. All boosts should be "paused" during downtime at the very least, but if it was based off time played then all of these issues are avoided.

are you saying you bought a boost, and got 0 usage of it because it vanished, or, you lost 30-60 minutes of use while the servers were down?

The message you've posted from support is pretty vague on that. If you are complaining about losing an hour of boost time, I personally don't see that as big deal.

If you lost one completely, that's a different story, and perhaps that wasn't made clear to the GM in that event. For that, you are clearly owed what you paid for.
Your Challenger won't drive? You're probably in the passenger seat.
Can't sell/delete an item? Check all of your loadouts, it's likely still equipped.
Auction house? Why? It'll just render bits purchased lock boxes pointless, and weapons are mostly equal anyway.
Gear/enemy progression? No thanks, it'll only render 90% of the content trivial when you reach the highest zone.

And this is why you should not buy boosts until sh** gets fixed. If no one buys boosts, they will lose a lot of revenue, which is unfortunate, but it may get them to look into this and make the timer based on in game time instead of real time. Until that time comes, I am not gonna waste money on boosts.

they wont pause because they would lose too much revenue i guess. they said it a risk when you purchase it if the servers will work or not , they take no repsonsible in the make. so to sum it up we stolen your money too bad

It's unfortunate that the company policy is that way. But Shingala is one of the nicer GMs they have on staff.
