    [SPOILERS] The game's ending... Wow.

...so cheesy, I ****ing love it. The classic cliché/trope of "all the heroes think that think they neutralized is dead, but it's NOOOOOOOT!!!". And not only do they do it, they do it twice, with the Ark core and then with Von Bach. Actually makes me excited for whatever content they'll come up with next.

PS: A lot of people are already comparing this game to Borderlands 2, but it's not gonna help that they made the game end with the exact same lines: "No rest for the wicked" :>

Edit: I checked and it appears the forums have a specific section for this kind of post. Sorry if this needs to be moved.

Borderlands has more content, no comparison needed.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

More content, better dialog, better co-op, useful drops, waaaaaay fewer bugs, actual character development, the list is almost endless.

I don't want this to become a comparison thread, but BL2 also had game breaking bugs such as being able to boost a weapon to the point where even the toughest weapon would go down in a few seconds, issues with duping and modding, and overlapping sounds (which could not be muted!) that forced you to play without any sound what so ever.
So please, every game has its problems, let Defiance be.

For fair comparison you´d have to look at Borderlands 2 before any dlc was released as that is the stage Defiance is at right now.

    Considering both somewhat of an mmo(rpg) shooter;
    - Borderlands 2 allowed/enabled players to create a new level 1 char and have it maxed out at level 50 about 1 hour later. Try that in Defiance.
    - Borderland 2 content was a couple of playthroughs of the same mission story line which could be solod in about 2 days by a noob (pretty much the same with Defiance), some side missions, and after that nothing but Boss grinding for legendaries that could be duped endlessly and effortlessly by anyone with a half a brain. Or you could replay the same mission line with the other classes.
Defiance has tons of stuff besides 1 main story line and gear grinding.
    - B2 had a maximum of 4 people in a world/instance.
    - B2 pvp was duel 1 on 1, bad at it, and nothing else, no pvp rewards, achievements, etc. Defiance current shadow war+2 deathmatches may not be much but it's a whole lot more than B2. Plus you get pursuits, outfits and rep for doing it.
    - B2 cartoon style graphics and even simple at that. Defiance not the greatest looker but yet again beats B2.
    Etc.

Don't get me wrong I did really enjoy B2 for a while, but it really wasn't much of an mmo rpg. Fun for a bit sure enough but nothing serious.

For me personally Defiance beats B2 by a long shot. Actually a lot more content, depth (not in main story line but in things like rep, challenges, pursuits, mini-games, leaderboards, weapon skills, etc) and things to keep you going.
Sure enough Defiance lacks challenging content for the higher ego ratings as it is but it's about 1 month old. Give it time. It has loads of untouched potential for the long term player that B2 never had.

Be hard to judge it as there was day 1 dlc wasnt there if i remember right lol?

Content wise there is much more in borderlands 2 than Defiance, what you listed isnt content is poorly hidden grinds. There are also acheivments in borderlands if you wanna do them, thats all pursuits are and when i played borderlands these werent bugged to hell.

I got pretty much double the time out of borderlands than i did defiance and i played defiance pretty hard, and i still havnt got the last 3? dlc for borderlands yet. Defiance has been out a month now and still has nearly all of the problems it had during beta, no clear indication of any new content by trion and unlike borderlands here they try to make pvp the "end game" yet people hack to hell easily.

I wouldn't call Borderlands 2 a MMOTPS at all, its a co-operative online shooter. I know its a subtle distinction but it also defines the differences in the games and why its not actually a correct or fair comparison. There are similarities in so much that they are both shooters, but the game dynamics and therefor advancement are different.
