I think they wanted you to play that Mission before the show aired so you would now how Noland and Irisa got from San Fran to St.Louis.

So the game and show could be tied in together. Nevermind how loose that tie in is.

I agree with you though, my friends and I were expecting Episodic Missions every week too. But how does that even make sense when the game is in San Fran, and the show is in St. Louis?

even with actual missions on a weekly basis this game does not have enough content to support a $60 price.

It should have been F2P from the start and maybe 2-3 DLC in it will have the value of its original release price.

Oh and just so you know im a game programmer for well I wont say for obvious reasons, but trust me I know what im talking about.
So... you work for a competitor (as a game programmer). Doesn't your employer have rules forbidding you to troll on other companies forums?

Pretty much spot on. Man hellgate london... i miss that one.. :/ Another good idea with bad execution.

And me too, i would be ecstatic if they proved me wrong. But sad thing is, im too burned by previous mmos to "believe".

I too wish the game had fewer bugs and faster content roll out. I hope AND expect to see real improvement this month. Time will tell. IF/WHEN the game is more stable and the DLCs start rolling out. A LOT of players, IMO, will give it another look.

Yep, the game had a rocky launch but the re-launch can be good. It could ALSO be rocky, we won't know til we see it. That's part of the charm of MMOs to me, that they can and do change. By this time next year we could have tons of stellar content... or not... stay tuned.

I really don't know an MMO that launches these days that just doesn't have enough content. People fly through all MMOs and then it is repetative game play.

This has happened with DCUO, The Secret World etc. It then takes time..

But I will say this, even though it is not a typical MMO that is what they wanted to hook onto...and the game is really shallow and needs a lot of work to mature into something I feel like I have an investment in and can be proud of my character....... Some of these new MMos are trying to recreate the wheel with games and ...well it just doesn't appear to have lasting power.

I am also extremely disappointed in the lack of content in this game. The lack of city hubs and different environments. I really wonder what they have been working on all that time, but getting the tech they want to work probably took a lot of time..

I don't expect any meaningful content until the dlc rolls out. The show/game tie-in content has been a massive failure that I seriously doubt will improve. The game is still a buggy mess, shadow war is still dead as a doorknob, the normal pvp still runs like a slideshow (thank God it's awful anyway), the community is obviously dying and Trion seems clueless as hell. I have no doubt that the DLC will be a decent amount of content that will release mid-summer in an attempt to lure back the large portion of the community that will have left. Those that purchased season passes better be prepared to rage because judging how this fiasco is going, there's no way in hell you guys don't get screwed. All in all, this game has been a bonafide disaster.

Heh I wonder how many of the same people claiming the game doesn't have 60$ worth of content hated on all of the call of duties, all the halo's all the modern warfares, pretty much every shooter up to this point for only having around 8 hours of content. Even good rpg's these days are lucky to have 40 hours of content.

it's 3 weeks late at this point while they deal with bugs. we should have concrete info on the "meaty" content in the next few days in a community post.
Your Challenger won't drive? You're probably in the passenger seat.
Can't sell/delete an item? Check all of your loadouts, it's likely still equipped.
Auction house? Why? It'll just render bits purchased lock boxes pointless, and weapons are mostly equal anyway.
Gear/enemy progression? No thanks, it'll only render 90% of the content trivial when you reach the highest zone.

More likely will be made. Many seem to thing the Irathient in chains from EP3 will show up in the game soon enough, as there's a model for her already. No point making a model for her, if there isn't a cutscene mission, right? Of course, it's only rumor at this point, time will tell.

The first DLC pack (likely Volge) was intended to have been released on the same day as the show, so I suspect the "filler" content we've seen over the past few weeks was deliberately light, since they originally expected more people to have been dealing with the DLC.
