Oh dear god. Please dont get me started on the first XIV... I still apologize to my friend everytime i see him for telling him "It is beta, surely they have all the content locked up from us because they don't want us to spoil us!" Boy... come release.. was i wrong.. x.x

Funny you should mention that. People were saying that in alpha (the real beta) of this game.

Everyone thinks pretty much any new MMO to come out is a flop, and the next WoW killer. It's just a pick an either or.

I am guilty of that. I believed the line Trion was feeding us about how the beta was only a small portion of the game.... especially bought that line from sledge when he said the weapons and weapon stats in the beta did not reflect the values in the live game, really loved that one.

I like the game, but damn there was a lot of deception.

Sure it has bugs, although I've seen decent server stability improvements. There is always going to be some issues and part of it might even be your local service provider. I know they have also addressed damage hacks and some other cheating issues. Plus they are working on solving those problems...

That said I'd love to see the pursuits fixed. The PvP ones not working is a huge detterent for me.

As for cross over show to game stuff.. You have to give them some time for that. You realize the show has only shown 4 episodes. All of which were taped before the game launched. Also after every new episode there are a few episode missions pursuits that get added. So there is some cross over as of now.. You'd have to wait for player inspired content in the episodes...

Of course the big thing that is slowing the game improvement is that they launched on THREE platforms. Both Xbox and PS2 slow down the patch process...

Of course the bottom line in is the game a flop/success are a few metrics: Profit, Subscribers/Games purchases, and active players.

That's because they (the other mmos) were flops. The problem was that they were trying to be wow killers in the first place. If people wanted wow, they would have played wow.. that's what those companies didn't understand.

But defiance. It's different in the sense that its a shooter, and i like that alot, and the universe is great. The issue is.. its starting to show signs of doing the same thing previous games that flopped were doing at the time... actually.. faster than previous games if i remember correctly.. sorry its late . And that's what sucks. That's why so called "haters" on this forum are yelling hardcore style. To wake trion up before it happens.

And the lack of communication or real content is not making it any better. (see badlands) lol Just sayin.

And really if you sold yours then thats your choice but its game over for you so please get off the whiners band wagon now and go find another game to play and some new forums to moan on. I think its safe to say that most of the players still on the game are getting tired of the ive quit this crap moaners that for some reason feel they still need to come on the forums to tell us they have gone. What are you really wanting?

Like my sig says Archeus9 we all love quoters even more so when they get it wrong, I actually said i think its safe to say that most (not everyone). And i dont understand the wishing bit.

But yeh i still love the game so glad your glad im enjoying it
