Too early to say - I don't admit that because I believe IN it, rather it's the reality of the situation.
The game should have launched as a retail product, not a beta.
The game should not make us wait weeks and months to produce relevant content and a proper retail client.
The game should have been ....
And this is where it falls down ; it's not really doing anything new or exciting to the genre or market, so why should we give them slack and let them BS their way through a failed development cycle?
Some games are made for greatness - and the usual signs are that it's good from day one.
Like the television show, this is not one of them.
I still enjoy the game despite it's many bugs. Honestly i still think their servers need tweaking as well
as yesterday it was not as bad as usual but think less people were on (PS3)
They thing is with Defiance, the continuation of the game all depends on the show. If the show gets low ratings and gets cancelled well so does further improvements and add ons to the game
I've been on the "Defiance is fail" bandwagon for a while now but I have to admit that I'm starting to change my tune. Hard to think of it as a flop when I logon at 6:00 AM on a Tuesday and see hundreds of people everywhere I go with a handfull using their mics and trading stories.
I don't think it's a flop as it's too soon for that, but I also think it's safe to say it's rather disappointing.
