Solution for Arkfall Vehicles

The best way would be to make everyone auto-dismount as soon as they hit the red ring, like when you would auto-dismount in WoW as soon as you went into a building. Pretty simple really.

That would be OK - but people could just mount back up in the ring and then run in a tight circle around the crystal. That's what these yahoos were doing last night and there was effectively no way for a skitterling to "bite the crystal". It was pathetic, like 20 Ark Hunters standing around and the minutes just kept ticking off and off and off.

And there are legit uses for vehicles at Arkfalls - like to rush off for a reload.

Why would they make you dismount only to allow you to mount up again once inside? that's just silly lol Of course they would have to make the entire circle a no mount zone, with the edge (ring) being the cut-off/dismount point.

Like I said, there are legit uses for the car in the circle. On the major Arkfalls it's way quicker to hop on your ATV and rush off for a quick reload and then rush back.

But tbh, I'd take either solution.

Just make it so Vehicle kills don't count against Arkfall pursuits. Saw two minor arkfalls nearly fail last night because 3-4 morons are running skitterlings over - probably all to just score the kills pursuit. Once they realize they get no loot, and they only get a measly 3XP - they'll probably get out of their car and shoot.

ohh nooos one of these posts again...first off if two minor ark fall almost failed it was cause u guys were sucking. killing the bugs or other stuff is how to complete em...second people can play how they want to, its theyer game. why are so many of you guys/gals **** an think everybody should do as you please.

One of the worst parts of this, is that people STILL dont even realize what they are doing...and thats just sad.

How can you be playing this game for weeks, and still not understand how arkfalls work (weak spots + skitterlings = half the time)

People SUCK at this game. I dont care if YOU need your kills at arkfalls, its EASIER to shoot them unless you suck at aiming/this game. Do you really need to drive in circles? you ingorant, greedy, skill-lacking little ****s?

I will admit, there are not as many posts saying 'What does it matter if I kill them all with the car?? your all crying! wah wah blah blah etc..."

Simply "killing the bugs and other stuff" is how to complete them. And it would be great if lazy drivers would let other players do the "other stuff".

I'd love to see a Venn Diagram of A) people complaining that EGO talks too much and B) being clueless about how some of the minor arkfalls work.

Just slightly off-topic...

I don't think killing the skitterlings makes a damn bit of difference relative to the holes in the crystal. That's scripted...

I've had several times when my EGO implant (does the damn thing ever shut up?) tells me that the skitterlings have bitten a hole in the crystal, but there are no skitterlings around. I'm pretty sure the script just causes the crystal to automatically be more vulnerable for a short time; the skitterlings are just more virtual objects, not "real" critters biting a "real" crystal. It's like the symbiont and other things going on at an arkfall; they're all scripted and on timers, not event-cued.

Back on-topic; yeah, I hate the damn vehicles in the arkfall areas, primarily because they block my view. With all the visual effects going off, it's hard enough to keep awareness of the situation around me. If I use a sight/scope, it's even harder. So, if a bunch of stupid cars are in the area, they are going to block my view a good part of the time.
