Yea it sure is.
Any fixes coming to the weapon reload animation repeating several times before its actually loaded?
No, that is "the only real way to do it" if your patching system sucks to high heaven.
Look, other MMOs manage to throw tons of patch fixes/content at players while maintaining reasonable patch sizes. Big download does not automatically equal lots of stuff.
Pretend we're having this conversation:
Me: "I fixed the texture seam on your Infiltrator Armor.. I'm sending it to you along with all the other armor art in the game.. so it's going to be a 400 MB download"
You: "Wait, what? Did the other armor art change?"
Me: "No, just the Infiltrator Armor. By itself it's just 5 MB."
You: "Why are you sending me the entire zip file then? Just send me the updated Infiltrator Armor art."
Me: "I don't know how to do that. Take the whole 400 MB zip file containing all the armor art, please."
You: "..."
Just because I hit you with a huge file doesn't mean I'm throwing a ton of content your way. In this case it means my method of patching simply sucks. And that's exactly the kind of nonsense that happened with the last major patch. We downloaded 4.2 GB of data. The Defiance folder is 10.8 GB. It was 10.8 GB before the patch and it was 10.8 GB after the patch. Do you feel like you received 4.2 GB of content.. close to half of the data in your Defiance folder.. in the last major patch?
he already said its not paid dlc stuff.....well im way more interested in the 1.020 notes than patch 1.014 :P especially the part about major changes![]()
*facepalm* 1.020 is a PATCH, not a dlc. Patches will always be free. Some content within patches might not be however, in the case of Free and Paid parts of dlcs. I'm thinking that each dlc will have both premium (that is paid for or included in the season pass) and free content. The content that comes with each dlc will with 100% certainty be patched in for everybody, some time before the dlc is released. However the paid component of a dlc won't be accessible by those who don't "own" the dlc, but the free components will be available to everyone who has the game.
