I'm also a huge fan of Joe Haldeman's Forever War. Liking those two books is a rarity for me. Typically, I am not into military science fiction.

Patch 1.020 will bring a lot of items, fixes and major changes.

Major changes you say? Dear Trion, I know you're trying to do your best, but do you really (!) think that one warfront, more hellbugs on the map, 5 small fixes (yes, I consider them small as there are so much more important things to fix) and one new outfit is 'major changes'? And if you remember how 'many' people play PvP in Defiance now, it is even worse (all the same people every day, about 60-70 ppl on each arkfall and loooong time waiting for pvp say it all). There are some reasons for terrible PvP but I don't want to repeat it again.

There's no high-end content.
I got nothing to do in the game. I did all the quests - the story line and all the side missions. I did all racing. I did all hot shots and rampages. I've levelled up 5 kinds of weapons just for the sake of pursuits (aimless klling mobs for hours).

And now you say I can wear a new outfit. Doing nothing. I am playing, I am playing!

Oh, I'm sure they're aware there's a sizable group of people out there that have a gigantic vote of no confidence in Trion's updates so far. I very much look forward to seeing how they address this with 1.02.

Possibly, but most likely not. As we work to release Patch 1.020 this month, some of the smaller patches might get rolled into the 1.020 update. This will all depend on how approvals line up to the release schedule our development team is working towards.

Remind me to never again play a multi-platform MMO.

It should be up right now on EU servers, seems like it was a serverside patch only though so there was no need to patch the client itself, which why we never had to download the patch.

so the changes and fixes implemented in the next small patch are not major enough for the next big patch in which no details are yet given.

You obviously need this spelled out for you. The details given here ARE NOT FOR 1.02, YOU (CENSORED).
If you weren't so fired up and ready to get cracking on crapping on the dev team's effort, perhaps you might have actually read Sledge's post and figured that out for yourself.
