You aren't missing anything with oranges. I'm at 1300ish and haven't seen one either despite opening quite a few lockboxes.

It all comes down to the luck of the draw. You will get one eventually, trust me. Not all legendary weapons are great, and who knows, maybe you will end up getting one of the extremely rare ones?

I have two orange weapons and I got both of them from lockboxes... though I'm still looking for a shield and grenade to finish that shtako of a pursuit...

Nah. I feel you. I spent 500000 salvage to get keys and try for an orange and only got one. And it wasn't one i even wanted. So i feel ya.

You can distinguish them ? or just inspect? in any case, have you compared them with your green/blue/purple whatever weapon? does it really give you an advantage?

I am ego lvl 2500 ish and i just don't give a sh... about legendary anything...
Oh and the name: "legendary" really implies that you are able to get it just by logging in the game )

btw i am not saying i do not agree with you, but it actually gives you 0 satisfaction having an orange whatever unless you are a big fan of the color ) my only legendary is a crappy pistol that i keep in the inventory just for the color variation, i will never use it because i have a better green one

The best weapon I have so far is a purple frontier saw. 1.30 mag with two slots still open. +15% fire rate for 5 seconds after self-revive, 1% ammo regain/10 sec and 2% ammo regain for 10 sec. 5% dmg on next shot after melee kill and 10% dmg on next shot after melee kill.

I think I stole your luck. 1500 EGO and got my 12th legendary recently...

Just my opinion but before EGO 1000 tier 3 is the best for oranges. After hitting 1000 tier 4 is the best.

I've also noticed that I seem to get weapons based on what I'm NOT actively leveling at the time, as if the game is telling me 'hey you're not leveling your AR. Here's an orange. Go get em" Probably just me though.
