DLC Dates

So just to get a talk started I will give you my OPINONS on when the 5 DLC packs will come out.

1st- Mid JUNE - I feel this is when all the kinks will be worked out with hopefully 1.02 where they can feel good about releasing this first DLC

2nd - Early September
3rd - October
4th - November
I feel these will get released around the Holiday shopping schedule to entice new players on getting onboard with this IP. With the 2nd DLC being probably the biggest of the bunch in this Holiday Sector. I say that cause they need to keep gamers engaged whilst cash grabbing for BIT purchases. Also it gives the game needed longevity to get to the new season.

5th - March - This will be the last of the DLC season pass, will probably introduce some radical ideas as the show will enter into the 2nd season in APRIL. Look for most of the map to be Uncovered at this time. As of this time however Trion will decide on what route to take the series into. At this point it will be entertaining to see if they go into another DLC Season Pass Route, or forgo with talks of making an actual disk based EXPANSION (East Coast ANYONE). I however would not be surprised if they actually did both, by making a season 2 pass and announcing an expansion.

Once again this is just me talking out loud, just wanna hear what you guys/gals think?

Well I have no clue as to the last 4 DLC's. But the first one, the blogs stated that "possibly" a DLC (that was intended for April 15th originally) would come after the second major patch. With the second major patch on the horizon, (I'm going to guess 2 weeks from now), and then adding 1 month between the next major patch....ya actually, mid to late June sounds pretty accurate.

3 months between first and second, 4 months from fourth to fifth. Much to long for me. For whats available in the game currently, 1 month for first dlc. Then dependant on content, but anything more than 2 months is to long... and that's still stretching it.

That and new x-box release. Couple of sites are suggesting christmas-ish. If this game isn't backwards compatible, any content they release will remain as it currently is. Completely unheard of!

LOL I agree, however I feel that the new Xbox will be backwards compatible based on the fact that they are using the same manufacture for their GPU, (Sony is switching to ATI from NVIDIA which would cause Sony to have to pay NVIDIA a royalty fee to have backwards compatibility, and we all know Sony never comes out of their pocket for anything.) and this would give the Xbox another advantage over their competitors. Knowing how the VIDEO GAME market poses itself during the holidays I can see how the 4 month difference would seem too much. I said that with the fact that December, January, February are the Video Games worst release schedual, Very rarely do anything that is AAA worth come out during these months, and I feel DLC is along those lines as well, I don't particularly like it, but that's how it goes.

Apologies, reading my post again does come across as overly aggressive! It's not a dig, just with the games yet to come out later this year and the way Defiance has been so far its not going to take that much for people to just drop this game. I'm a season pass holder, so in for the long haul regardless.

I think the 21st of this month is booked for the grand revealing of the 720. Depending on whats gonna be on offer, Defiance is gonna have to do something pretty fantastic to survive a patch over. But until I know what will be available, I couldn't begin to make any suggestions myself.

They have to come out with said DLC's or they would be getting hit with a Class Action Lawsuit besides most of these companies are good at releasing said DLC's that are in Season Passes. However the QUALITY of the DLC is never mentioned, for all we know they could lay down 5 turds and call it DLC.

I would know the DLC dates, but the Mayan calender ended already. So we're flying in the dark here.
