Most games these days give players using controllers soft targeting (if you're near the target when you scope-in, it puts the crosshairs at center mass). Not unreasonable to think Trion would do the same for controller players.

Auto aim is put in to compensate for the lack of control that a mouse has.

Did it occur to ANYONE that PVP would be nigh entirely recreational if present at all in Defiance? I'm a console and PC gamer and I can say that if the price I pay is just [people having a bit higher body count in a co-op conflict], in exchange for being able to play with EVERYONE, not my dumbass friends who only play on xbox OR my dumbass friends who only play on PC, I would do it in a heartbeat. Anyone rational would.

Unfortunately no gaming companies have any frakking principles anymore; Trion NOT being the target when I say that.

Guess the cycle continues, just like the end of mass effect 3. I wonder if this'll garner the same category of reactions.

Well, it is not the gaming companies... well it is, but MS and Sony... no one else. Most Devs would love to see cross platform play. Trion said it was all 1st party issues.

Shadowrun was terrible because of PC hacks and xbox had no way to fix that issue

The one issue I foresee is PS3's multiplayer being free. Even so, I highly doubt a relatively niche game like Defiance coming out will make ANY significant amount of people jump ship and just start playing PS3- all of those people's friends still play xbox, and the most slim possibility that microsoft could take any substantial losses from such a venture is slim to none, this is ridiculous.

They say next to no mold-breaking will start happening until the next console generation swings into town, but we haven't even pulled off something like this yet. Can you imagine if Ford had the model T together in a week flat but hadn't figured out a fuel HALF as efficient as gasoline to run it? that's the entire gaming world, aint that somethin?

Gearbox Software wanted to do that with Borderlands 2 (Which is a HUGELY POPULAR shooter) but were not able to get permission from MS and Sony

This is a demand I broadcast here to allow for Defiance to usher in a new era of unity- I play on PC and Xbox, but have friends on PS3. I want to be able to play on my PC with my friends on Xbox, I want my cousin and friends who own a PS3 to have some common ground we can all enjoy, and I know it can and is feasible on the test servers which Trion blatantly said. Don't pretend you don't think this would be absolutely insane. We've seen it happen, Shadowrun, FF, both fine.

CS:GO already ******d out.

Don't let our game continue this cycle. We want change.

I dunno about you but my friends would b eon the same console as me anyway so that would be irrelevant... I mean if i only have a PS3 why would anyone on my PS3 friends list have 360 only? I mean where would i be finding these 360 friends? lol
