Well, I like EGO even more now.

I too have always found her to be a pretty adorable inner sidekick. The only time she gets on my nerves is when it looks like there's an advanced weapon nearby. Now THAT looks useful. She's detecting advanced weaponry nearby. It looks like that could really do some damage to the crystal. The advanced weapon nearby, that is. The one that she's detecting. Which looks really useful. Did I mention the advanced weaponry?

I had this happen last night at an arkfall and I could not see what the hell she was referring to. Was there an actual weapon laying around and someone else may have grabbed it before I saw it, or was it more a reference to the yellow blisters the skitterlings cause on crystals?

It happens when a mob at the ark-fall drops an advanced weapon. An advanced weapon shows as a normal drop, but it is glowing bright red. People often pick it up immediately.

The weapons are particular made for destroying the crystal, for normal mobs it is overkill, although I used the rocket launcher on a hulker that came into the ark-fall and it was particular well suited against him as well.

The damage of such a weapon is so much, that you should try to kill as many mobs as possible and not shoot the crystal at all with your normal weapon, only use the advanced weapon.

It is the same with the skittering bytes, don't even try to damage the crystal unless it has one of those yellow warts.

I know it's probably not cannon, but I wonder if the EGO's of different operatives can talk to each other. Like if you were at the Crater and hitting on another arkhunter, your EGO would be chatting up their EGO. It would suck your EGO cockblocked you by telling the other EGO how you never pick up all the loot and always need to be revived at arkfalls.

Unrelated by far, but you have a beautifully unique mind good sir and it makes me wonder, Is EGO cockblocking you because she is in love with you? What's worse than an obsessed stalker than an obsessed stalker that is part of your mind!

If you're using a definition of "insane" similar to its legal meaning, that she can't really comprehend legal/moral consequences, then she is most assuredly insane. So far she's 100% on my side, thank goodness, but she is one violently antisocial intelligence to anything that even loosely resembles a possible target. She gets downright giddy at the chance to advise me on how and when to murder people...
